The American people know darn good and well we're in rapid decline and that that decline will get worse before it turns around, so they are responding by buying guns in record numbers. Smart. I hope they're also training with them.
ECONOMY:
Here's the summary line of this article:
"Yes, dear reader, corruption leads to discontent. Discontent leads to rebellion. Rebellion leads to repression."Hello? I must have missed the rebellion part. From my point of view. Repression started long before discontent, and rebellion is far, far away if it ever comes at all. Hopefully it will never come because we'll take away government's power peacefully. I'll grant that if rebellion comes, repression will escalate tremendously, but reasonable people realize we're already terribly oppressed.
TAX AND SPEND:
Italy's bond rates fall below 7 percent. Don't expect them to stay that low.
I'm all for tax cuts, but it makes no sense to extend unemployment benefits that are stolen from people who work at the point of the government's gun. In what world is it OK to steal people's money and give to others? It's never OK to steal money from people.
This is a very accurate statement:
"I am an incurable optimist, but I think the die has been cast that the collapse of the US is inevitable. My conclusions are not philosophical, ideological, or theological. They are actuarial. The status afterwards may eventually be glorious, but there are some very dark days ahead of us."The best days of the US are still ahead of us. But we are in decline at the moment because of the outrageous burden of government we suffer under, and there's so much damage in the pipeline from Fed inflation and resources the government has stolen from us and squandered, that, even if we turned everything around today, we would have to suffer a significant reduction in standard of living before we turned it around. But the sooner we jettison this tremendous burden of government, the sooner we can take our medicine and fix the damage, the sooner we'll get back to being the greatest country the world has ever seen.
REGULATION:
The feds want to mandate black box tracking technology in cars. This is a great reason to buy foreign cars or used cars.
HEALTH CARE:
Feeding babies soft foods leads to underdevelopment of the lower jaw. It's funny too how a strong jaw is still considered a powerfully attractive feature. Dump the establishment baby food.
Guess which country has the most (over)medicated people in the world. That's not even hard.
GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:
The takeaway from the climagegate 2 emails?
"No amount of context can possibly exonerate the CRU gang from some of the damning expressions and contrivances that appear repeatedly in the new emails. More so than the 2009 batch, these emails make clear the close collaboration between the leading IPCC scientists and environmental advocacy groups, government agencies, and partisan journalists."Lots of us have known that for years. Again, this is a natural consequence of the coercive nature of government and therefore could be logically deduced. In other words, there's lots of money to be made by corrupting science and convincing people to expand the power of government over the very air we breath, so naturally government agents will use government's power of coercion to attempt to seize power over our very breath. Now we have powerful evidence to back that up.
Organization of important quotes by topic from Climategate emails exposing the corruption.
POLICE STATE:
Man faces 75 years in prison for taking video of police in public.
WAR:
Newt the warmonger.
Iran claims it downed a US spy drone. Flying a spy drone over Iran is an act of war. Our rulers will not be happy until they convince the American people to allow them to start a shooting war with Iran. The reason Iran may be, not for sure, developing a nuclear weapon would be as a deterent from the US, Israel and other aggressive, western governments. After 70 years of US government aggression, who can blame them?
Even the US media thinks the US and Israeli governments are waging covert war in Iranians. If somebody did this to us, our politicians would call it terrorism, but I guess terrorism is OK when they're doing it, just not when somebody else does it to them.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION:
ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) can't catch people crossing our border from Mexico, but it can sure shut down ISP in Korea. You might think this is goofy, but once you realize the true nature of government, it becomes logical. Government exists to enable the ruling class to loot the people. Our rulers want illegal immigrants to come to America because they provide labor at lower prices and they don't complain or sue over mistreatment. On the other hand, our rulers make tons of money off Hollywood movies because of IP laws. The government is simply carrying out the priorities of our rulers.
This article says deportations break up families. No. This is an attempt to make it look like illegal immigrants deported from the US are victims. No. The aggressors in this case are the people who come here illegally, not the people who deport them. Don't get me wrong. I wish the entire world was a free society so people could move anywhere they wanted without aggressing against others. But we don't live in that world. People who come here illegally take property from us via the government. Coming here illegally is an act of aggression. If you don't want to be deported and have your family split, don't come here illegally. It's not that hard to figure out. Until we end our governments' aggression against us, illegal immigrants will be a problem.
FOREIGN POLICY:
Islamists win overwhelming majority in first round of Egyptian elections. The Muslim Brotherhood, who was the big winner, and a harder-line party won a significant majority. This is a good time to remind everybody that the revolution in Egypt was sparked by the sharp increase in food prices created by central banks, especially the Fed, printing money and creating inflation all around the world.
Putin's party fails to win majority in parliamentary elections. I don't think this analysis is intentionally funny, but it is.
"In a de facto one party state where the ruling elite controls all the levers of power embarrassing setbacks like this are not supposed to happen."That never happens in the US. The big-government party always wins. It's won every election since Abe Lincoln. The same is true in Britain.
POLITICS:
This article paints lobbyists as evil manipulators and politicians as innocent babes corrupted by them. That's a crock. The corruption influence is the coercive and violent nature of government. Politicians demand payoffs, or they destroy businesses. We have to remember who has all the power: the government and therefore the politicians and government agents. There is no reform that will fix this other than taking away government's powers of coercion and violence.
"This is one of the reasons I was so surprised to see this interview on CBS. I was fairly convinced that the government had more control over the media and would prevent the airing of this type of information."The reason the government allowed this to air is it misrepresents the source of the problem. It blames lobbyists, not the innate nature of government. By doing so, it covers up the true nature of government and therefore serves the interests of our rulers.
Boy did Sarah Palin **** up. Assuming Sarah Palin wants a future in politics and believes herself a tea party candidate, she should have endorsed Ron Paul and unified the Tea Party in order to set herself up as a potential VP or a 2016 candidate. Palin was a political force a year ago. I haven't heard much from her since she declined to run for president months ago. Does anybody care she endorsed warmonger Santorum today? I doubt it. Santorum has probably been expecting this, and counting on it to stay in the race. I doubt it matters except as to cripple Palin's future political ambitions.
Herman Cain did his best to pretend he was an outsider, not a typical politician, but now that we know he's a serial philanderer, we know better. But in case that wasn't enough to convince you, Cain will endorse Newt Gingrich, the ultimate insider and another serial philanderer. Hey, you can never have too much war or extra-marital sex.
Somebody should punch Donald Trump in the mouth, figuratively speaking, so he shuts up.
LOCAL:
Guess what happens when you put a coercive government agency (I know that's redundant) in charge of cleaning up the water supply in a government, funded welfare project:
"A public housing agency spent more than $100,000 to clean up widespread black mold growth and water damage in a downtown Dayton high-rise, but residents say the problem persists."Needy Americans deserve better than socialism. Everybody deserves better than socialism. Thomas Jefferson pointed out that in the early days of the Republican, because our ancestors enjoyed a signifcantly free country, that the US suffered no poverty on the scale of France and England because government had not had the time to make people in the US poor.
MISC:
Forty-two thousand years ago, our ancestors were catching tuna. More evidence that our ancestors were way more capable than we give them credit for.
Sometimes the great thing about new technology is that it reminds us that nothing fundamental changes, and it can highlight fundamental truths about relationships. For example:
Who can't relate to this?
Here's another example of the emasculation of the American male in modern society.
This is wrong on so many levels. Men can't get pregnant. I know gazillions of women and metro-sexuals will say I'm being pedantic. Baloney. This fact is crucial to healthy parents, children, relationships and society. Men and women are different. Men and women don't get pregnant. Women get pregnant. Real men provide for their children and their babies' mother. Any man who doesn't provide - and I don't mean a man who bows down to the abusive spousal and child support criminal judges routinely declare - isn't a real man. But we should never confuse the roles. Women get pregnant. Babies grow inside women. Women give birth. Men do not. Men only donate sperm, and, if they're real men, support the mother to be, but they can't do anything more. Because our society confuses this issue, the guy in the picture looks like a girl.
A couple of years ago I wrote that Tiger would be back with vengeance. I expected that to happen before now, but Tiger just won his first tournament since his wife divorced him. I bet he'll win a lot more next year. I hope he comes back an punishes all those mediocre golfers who look good while he isn't at his best.
