HEALTH CARE:

It's interesting to look back on why this abomination happened. Because Democrats had 60 votes in the Senate and a large majority in the House, they decided to write a health care bill that looted the American people solely on behalf of Democrat special interests. Republicans tried their best to compromise so they could share in the looting, but since Democrats had so much power, they shut Republicans out of the looting. That's why Republicans united against this bill. Not out of principle. Not because of deficits. Not because they think government shouldn't be involved in our health care. Republicans united against the bill because Democrats wouldn't let them share in the looting.

A good visualization of the history of government in the US is a ladder with Democrats on the left and Republicans on the right. At the bottom of the ladder is the constitutional republic we started with and at the top of the ladder is despotism. From the moment the Constitution was ratified, government has been moving up that ladder. Because the two parties generally compromise away our freedom so both care share in the looting, usually government stays pretty much in the middle of the rungs on its ascent to tyranny, but sometimes it goes to toward the right as it moves up and sometimes to the left. In this case, it went all the way to the left rail as it climbed a couple of rungs.

But Republicans were not trying to keep us from going up the ladder to toward tyranny. They had alternate plans that cost hundreds of billions of our dollars too. It's just that since Republicans were going share in the looting in those plans, Democrats rejected them. It's dangerous to mistakenly think Republicans were working for our best interests by opposing this bill. They weren't. They were working to move the bill to the center so they could share in the looting, but we'd have still lost our freedom if they had got their way.

The next step is to pressure our state representatives to nullify Obamacare. Both my representative and state senator are Democrats, so I have leverage in this battle.

It's just crazy how Obama and Pelosi sold this bill to their caucus. "Hey, we've already screwed things up so badly that you guys are going to get creamed in November one way or the other. Since you're going to get creamed, you might as well do all the damage you possibly can on the way out. Really stick it to the people hard by voting for health care oppression." And they're going to make that same argument to their caucus on every issue, and it's going to work.

Obama to sign Senate health care bill into law Tuesday. What was the big rush for? Then the Senate will take up the reconciliation package. Let's see if Senate Democrats hang House Democrats out to dry.

I talked to a number of people Saturday who thought that Republicans would repeal health care oppression when they got in power in 2010. They don't understand the nature of government and the aristocrats who rule us. It won't happen. Republicans never repeal any of they horrendous programs Democrats create. They usually vote for them. But even if they wanted to, which they don't, they can't do it with Obama in the White House, and they'll use that excuse. Instead, Republicans will modify Obamacare so they can share in the looting. Assuming they win the White House in 2012, they still won't repeal it. They'll claim they're going to fix it, and they'll modify it further so they can share more in the looting. They'll also make some cuts to the loot Democrats are taking, but they won't repeal it. Take it to the bank.

The Wall Street Journal tells us how we need to change our lives in order to prepare for Obamacare. I'm not kidding.

Boortz thinks he's a genius for this prediction:
"That's what ObamaCare is all about .... Government power. You watch ... before the November elections you will hear Democrats telling you that "If you vote for the Republicans, they'll take away your health care." No way I'm going to be wrong on this."
That's like predicting the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning. But it's immaterial. That'll just win Republicans more votes because most voters want Republicans to repeal health care oppression. But they won't because they don't want to. Just like Democrats, they want to profit from it at our expense while blaming all the bad consequences on Democrats so they can regain and retain power. This battle will go on and we'll never be rid of Obamacare until America collapses. The good news is that won't be very long.

Boortz figured out Republicans won't repeal it, but he blames it on Obama being the White House. Then why won't they repeal in 2012? Boortz is silent on that since he's become a major water carrier for Republicans since Obama was elected.

Here's where some of those doctors may go...
"And the declining quality and availability of medical care? Sorry ... you worry about that one. If need be I'll head overseas to get what I need. I happen to know some people who for the past year have been preparing for this day .. preparing by developing plans for health clinics in foreign lands staffed by American doctors where people can go to get American-quality health care services without the government participating in the treatment regimen."
Thanks to government intervention in our health care system, you can already get a lot of treatments overseas at a much lower cost. That's going to increase. But the problem is nearly all medical advances come from the US. That's not going to be the case any more. Obamacare will stunt medical advancement for all the world.

The Heritage Foundation lists 10 ways Obamacare will significantly harm America. This bill is a killer for small business. We're going to be left with nothing but super-corporations who are in bed with the government to provide us poor quality services at a tremendously inflated price. Even the illusion of freedom in America is gone. No government agent will ever pretend he's our servant again. We are subjects, not citizens.

One of the things I was thinking about last night was the relationship between the right to life and the right to the pursuit of health care. You can't have one without the other. Obamacare has stripped us of the right to the pursuit of the best health care we can get for ourselves, and therefore it has stripped us of the right to life. We're all slaves now.

Obamacare stimulates the largest expansion of the IRS since WWII. I think I'm going to puke.

Even the New York Times reports that after all the gimmicks used to hide costs, Obamacare will raise the deficit. When the NYTimes is pointing this stuff out, you know it's bad. This is a gigantic step down the Road to Serfdom.

POLICE STATE:

New Jersey idiot arrested for being rude to blacks. I agree that Walmart should ban him from their stores and sue him, but he should not be arrested.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION:

Another big headline about the rally for amnesty. I like how it's a "broad coalition." Where were these headlines about our rally against health care oppression on Saturday? You know amnesty is going to pass. John McCain and Lindsay Graham are going cuddle up with Democrats and make it happen, and since Democrats know they're going to get slaughtered in November, they have nothing to lose. That was the only thing limiting the damage they might do. The dam broke yesterday. We're going to get wiped out by government.

LOCAL:

Check out this headline: State OKs 50 wind turbines for Champaign County. Why does the state have to OK them? If I want to put wind turbines on my property, that's nobody's business but mine. How delusional do you have to be to think America is a free country? Read a paper.
"In all, there were about 70 conditions required for the project."
And we wonder why everything is so expensive.
