Off-duty sheriff's deputy murders 6 in Wisconsin.

Aberdeen, Maryland passes law giving the city power to require all new developments to install security cameras linked directly to the police station. Sounds like Dharma took over Aberdeen.

New study claims there are 20 to 38 million illegal aliens in the US. Wow. Illegal immigration sparks violence and divides Switzerland. Illegal immigration divides all nations, and nobody should allow it. It makes no sense.

FCC refuses to probe telecoms for assisting NSA in warrantless wiretaps. I should hope so. It's just nuts that some people think these companies should be punished for helping our national security.

Canada claims northwest shipping passage created because of melting polar ice, plans to patrol and to build a military base.

Report claims that Britain is on board with air strikes on Iran. We know France is on board too. It looks like Bush has formed the vanguard of an international coalition for strikes.

Israel open to dividing Jerusalem to gain recognition by Arab states. The Temple Mount is a sticking point.

British teen arrested for possessing the Anarchist's Cookbook, a long-popular bomb making book. Nobody should be arrested simply for possessing a book.

Do prominent individuals who speak out against radical Islam have a right to taxpayer funded protection? That certainly have no such right because protection must be provided by somebody else, but on the other hand it may very well be in the best interest of everybody to provide that protection. But that's the argument for all socialism. You have a right to free speech, but you have no right to avoid the consequences. On the other hand, you have the right to life, and government has a duty to provide security to its citizens. But does that mean personal security? There are many instances in which government provides personal security for people who are legitimately threatened, so why not the objects of murderous fatwas?

Reason discusses the politics of medical marijuana. Why not just turn it into a prescription drug? What have we got to lose? That seems a no brainer.

Fred Thompson to face a debate.

Obama will learn why Democrats don't embrace religion: because their base doesn't. Trying to grap the religious vote during the Democrat campaign is suicide for Obama and may explain why he's so far behind Hillary.

Hillary has Sandy Berger as an adviser. I guess she needs tutelage on stealing classified documents, stuffing them in pants and socks, hiding and destroying them, lying about it, then getting off with a slap on the wrist. This ought to boost her negatives. I guess this is her definition of change - change back to the corruption of her first co-presidency.

Middle school students caught having public sex in class. My school never had those kinds of lessons.
