Free kibbles

Pakistani President and head general Musharraf wins election in a landslide. The court has to rule on the validity since he's still the head general. I remember he made arraignments to give up that post. I wonder if it has just been delayed.

Muqtada al Sadr and another Shia warlord reach a peace deal. We're still paying for our failure to capture or kill al Sadr back in 2004.

Micky Kaus describes how well the new anti-illegal immigrant SSN check system works by pointing out the only case of false positive, that was quickly remedied. I'm surprised it's that accurate. Wow.

Immigration sweep targets LA gangs. Why isn't this happening every year?

Tax evaders arrested at the point of the federal government's gun. That's because all taxes are collected at the point of a gun.

Consumers are slow to switch to compact florescent bulbs. Who defines slow? They'll switch soon enough. The government should stay out of it.

Southern California activists looking to use more government regulation to hurt truck drivers in an effort to clean up pollution and create unions. Just say no.

Novak provides details about his discussions with Artimage, Wilson, and Fitzgerald in the Plame non-affair.

Dennis Kucinich says that all American children should learn Spanish. I guess that's in preparation for surrendering the country to Mexico.

Hillary steps in the illegal immigration debate by taking a firm stance on offering amnesty to illegal aliens and uniting their families. Maybe she missed the voter revolt that killed the Bush/Democrat/McCain/Rove/Senate bill to do just that. There's no way this woman will get elected.

20% of Democrats think the world would be better off if we lost the war in Iraq. Wow. Talk about hating your own country.

Peggy Noonan explains the Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton trance, and hopes to see it ended. She'll get her wish. Hillary is the Democrats' anointed nominee, but she can't win the general election so the trance will be broken. We'll get a new, big-government Republican statist, slightly less bad than Hillary and mouthing platitudes about change, to carry on the destruction of our country by expanding government and sucking more of our freedom from us.

Jonah Goldberg says Hillary Clinton hasn't learned much at all about health care. I disagree. She's learned marketing. Her plan is designed to fail, then evolve into total socialized medicine, but she hides that behind the words "choice" and "flexible" to gather support.

Boortz advocates saving achievers before non-achievers. This ought to get him trouble.
