Essay explains why Clinton and Democratic fundraiser Hsu matters, and how this appears to be a repeat for the Clintons. We all should watch Hillary very closely because it seems she's repeating the standard Clinton crimes that led to such remarkable corruption, including the transfer of top secret technology to China, in her first co-presidency. Hillary to give back $850,000 of money collected by Hsu. She's feeling the heat.

Joe Biden is right that there is no purely military solution in Iraq. Which makes the results our troops have achieved under Gen. Petraeus that much more impressive. Our troops are not just fighting, but also rebuilding Iraq with the help of Iraqis, and all that is leading to political reconciliation at the grass roots level. The Iraqi government will join that reconciliation, or the Iraqi people will replace it with a government that will. It's a shame that it falls to our troops to perform the rebuilding and reconciliation, but our government is so broken, that no other agencies can fill those roles.

General Petraus recommends cutting 6,000 combat troops from Iraq this year, and 30,000 total by next summer. Naturally, Democrats will invent some reason that that isn't fast enough. If we can still win, Democrats won't accept it. Moveon.org stands by it's "Betray Us" ad. It remains to be seen if Democrats will distance themselves from the ad or be defined by it. Bush to endorse Petraeus' proposal to cut troops, completely stealing the issue from Democrats.

CNN claims the Israel destroyed Iranian weapons intended for Hezbollah in that recently reported air raid on Syria. US official anonymously confirms.

On Syrian TV, Dennis Kucinich claims we are occupying Iraq and praises Syrian president Assad. This is a country officially designated as a state sponsor of terror and known to send terrorists and weapons into Iraq. If this isn't what the Logan Act is for, what is it for?

A sign of hope? Democrats delay filing criminal contempt charges against Bush advisers. These charges are bogus. The president has to protect the sanctity of his advisers to insure honest advice. Democrats should put all this animosity behind them and start behaving civilly.

Bin Laden releases another tape celebrating the murderers of 9/11. I want to see this guy captured, tried and executed.

Russia is hindering the investigation into the poisoning of Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko. That's because Russia agents did it.

Biofuels may do more environmental harm than good. This is especially true for corn based ethanol. Cato explains that ethanol and subsidies are wasteful.

In surprise move, OPEC agrees to increase oil output. Wow. Maybe they feel threatened by all the new subsidies of biofuels.

Anti-war protesters make fools of themselves.

Reason wonders why, with troop draw downs in Iraq already imminent, Democrats are in such a hurry to force an early withdrawal. Because if America wins, Democrats lose, and it's more important to Democrats to win politically than to support their country in a war.

I'm not at all surprised Congress has no plan to regenerate itself in the case of a devastating attack on Congress.

Christopher Hitchens debates a Muslim intellectual. Yawn.

So much for the theory that Fred Thompson waited too long to come out. He's already vaulted to the top spot among GOP candidates.

The Patriots may have illegally video-taped the Jets signals during the game Sunday.

Ang Lee self-censors award winning film to appease Chinese. This self-censorship is getting out of hand.

Ebola virus breaks out in Congo again.

Shocking torture and rape case appears racially motivated, but if these allegations are true, these people are just monsters.

Burning salt water as a fuel? That would be something. It would be practically perfect if the hydrogen recombined with oxygen in the atmosphere so the planet wouldn't lose any water.

Government restocks Colorado rivers with wrong fish, and only figures it out after 20 years.

British hospital continually downsized because socialized medicine in Britain can't pay for it. The British people, Canadians and others all over the world are living the failure of socialized medicine so we don't have to.

Many Utah schools to ignore 9/11. You've got to be kidding me. Can government schools become any more counterproductive?

Russia tests world's largest non-nuclear bomb.

Cato decries the new powers assumed by the president because of the War on Terror.

Ralph Peters says that the Sunni rejection of al Qaeda may be al Qaeda's biggest strategic defeat.

Jonah Goldberg says Bush and Democrats' divisiveness, aided by the accomplice press, have failed the country, and therefore we have lost the significance of 9/11 to our detriment.

Norman Podhoretz, a founder of the neo-conservative movement, writes that the anti-American anti-war movement from the 60s is the same anti-war movement of today, just better organized. But just as they've used the internet to gain power more quickly, so has the internet kept Americans informed of our recent success in Iraq in a way that the mainstream media refused to do after the Gen. Abrams took over in Vietnam.
