Iran claims to have 3,000 uranium enrichment centrifuges operating. If true, Iran could produce a nuclear bomb within 9 to 11 months. Unless something dramatic happens in Iran, we can expect a US strike before then. Report claims US has 3 day plan to destroy Iran's military. 1,200 stikes seems like way too small of a number. Then again, a cluster bomb can take out hundreds of tanks in 1 strike.

North Korea agrees to dismantle it's nuclear program by the end of the year in return for normalized relations with the US. If it intends to keep to this deal, it would be great, but like John Bolton says, we need a very invasive verification program.

The Lebanese army has finally taken control of the refuge camp being used by terrorists to attack them since May.

Because our power industry is over regulated, LA is experiencing blackouts because of demand.

Mickey Kaus examines how the crackdown on employers of illegal aliens is designed to create propaganda photos of crops rotting in the fields from a phony labor shortage in order to gain support for amnesty later on.

Excellent WSJ essay describing what would happen if we pulled out of Iraq.

Ralph Peters tells short stories from Iraq.

Bet on America. That's a fine sentiment, and if we had a popular leader preaching small government, I would certainly do so. But instead all we have is Dumb and Dumber preaching ever more government as the salvation from our decline. It's like we have Jimmy Carter versus Jimmy Carter's worse twin brother vying to lead America. And the American people aren't demanding a leader like Ronald Reagan, or somebody more bold, who demands reform of government to free Americans so we can get back on a trajectory of greatness. As long as Americans look to government for solutions, we'll continue our decline.
