Scientists discover gene mutation that causes early puberty in children.

"While parents may worry about the emotional toll caused by early puberty, doctors say they're concerned because early puberty increases a girl's later risk of breast cancer, endometrial cancer, heart disease, diabetes and obesity."

This is probably the result of poor diet and exercise. The body probably believes it's in an unhealthy environment, so it goes into puberty earlier to produce children earlier before the child dies.
