War

US deaths down in Afghanistan.
"The number of U.S. deaths in Afghanistan is on track to decline sharply this year, reflecting the drawdown in U.S. forces and an expanded Afghan army that is playing a larger role in fighting the Taliban. This year, 301 Americans have died in Afghanistan, down from a peak of 500 American deaths in 2010, according to a USA TODAY database. It is the second consecutive yearly decline."
If bringing US troops home saves their lives, and it undoubtedly saves Afghan lives, why not bring all the troops home ASAP?

Syrian rebels want US weapons and NATO air support like Libya, and it looks like NATO is going to intervene.

Ron Paul on the expansion of DIA operations, or what we used to call wetwork. Assassination is illegal, but Obama has claimed the power anyway.
"Attacks on foreign countries will increase as a result of this move, but more and more the strikes will take place under cover of darkness and outside the knowledge of Congress or the American people. The move also represents a further blurring of the lines between the military and intelligence services, with the CIA becoming more like a secret military unto itself."
Nothing good can come of this.
"President Obama said recently of Israel’s strikes against the Palestinians in Gaza, "No country on Earth would tolerate missiles raining down on its citizens from outside its borders.” This announcement by the administration amounts to precisely that: the US intends to rain down ever more missiles on citizens overseas."
He said it because he knew the press would cover for him on it.
