The media is making a big deal about how Obama isn't negotiating on the fiscal cliff issue, Geithner's proposal isn't serious and Republicans aren't sitting down at the table. They don't need to. Our representatives don't write bills. The lobbyists write them. The special interests have gotten together and they've divided up more loot the government will steal from us among themselves. This deal is done. The politicians are just posturing in order to limit the political damage they will face. They're both staking out positions they believe will make their bases happy knowing the deal is somewhere in between. Obama and Boehner will announce the deal at the last minute so nobody can read it and twist arms to make people vote for it to avoid the "crisis". All this posturing is a sham.
Note to Obama: when the UK raised taxes on millionaires, revenue declined because millionaires took their money and left the country.
