Local

Here's another story of predation and looting that begins with obtaining permission.
"The Grays obtained permission from a Clearcreek Twp. official to use their residential driveway in Warren County to get to buildings on the Montgomery County portion of their land. The buildings house the Grays’ storage and landscaping businesses."
So you think you own your own property. Not so. You must get permission to use it as you please. Here's another example.
"“Until now there was little cities could do to coerce derelict property owners into doing the right thing,” Riordan said in a statement. “This adds a new dimension to make that happen, or you’ll pay the price in the end.”"
Politicians love using coercion against serfs.
"The city has demolished or reconstructed 137 commercial, residential and mixed-use structures this year as of Sept. 30 and more than 300 structures in 2011."
Stop doing that. How can private property be a public nuisance?

Union and county dispute the need for more children's services case workers.

Vectren workers sign new agreement. They had been holding out over supposed safety issues, but I bet it was just compensation.

Another crash in I-75 construction.
