Politics

Clint Eastwood claims he didn't ditch a speech at the Republican convention because he didn't write a speech.
""They vet most of the people, but I told them, 'You can't do that with me, because I don't know what I'm going to say,'" Eastwood said. "
He also claims Romney and Ryan appreciated the speech.
"Romney and his running mate, Paul Ryan, later came backstage to thank him. "They were very enthusiastic, and we were all laughing," Eastwood said."
This is a great quote:
""President Obama is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people," Eastwood said."
I don't agree that Romney and Ryan will be any better than Obama, but I like what he said here too:
""Romney and Ryan would do a much better job running the country, and that's what everybody needs to know. I may have irritated a lot of the lefties, but I was aiming for people in the middle." "
Clint Eastwood rocks. Critics left and right panned Eastwood's speech, but he gave it eight days ago, and we're still talking about it. Sure, it rambled, and sometimes he stumbled over his words, but he really connected with people and got his points across in a way no politician can, and I think the establishment hates that.

As I've stated many times, I fear that as the economy deteriorates, the US as we know it will not survive. The US isn't the only country in danger of breaking apart. Spain, Canada and the UK might break apart too. The US doesn't have a major separatist movement, at least not since Lincoln killed 750,000 Americans, but those other counties do.

Did Obama back out of Bank of America stadium because of weather or because he couldn't fill the seats?
