Foreign Policy

The US consulate in Benghazi did not have enough security.

The Israeli news reports that the US was warned of attacks on embassies but didn't increase security even though it was the anniversary of 9/11.
"Making matters worse is the report in the Independent that the State Department had prior warning of the violent assault. “According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and ‘lockdown,’ under which movement is severely restricted,” the report stated.

Earlier media reports revealed that one of the slain diplomats, information management officer Sean Smith, had noticed suspicious people taking pictures hours before the assault and wondered in an online forum if he and other staff would “die tonight.”

State Department officials now say that the assault in Benghazi was “clearly a planned attack.”"
This confirms my suspicions. The US apologized for that video to mislead the American people into believing it prompted these attacks when they knew that was not the case, and they failed to defend again the threats. If this news gets out in America, it'll finish Obama and Clinton, so don't expect to read it in any US paper.

It seems the self-described Israeli Jew responsible for the anti-Mohammad movie is in fact a Coptic Christian from Egypt.
"The Associated Press tracked down an Egyptian Coptic Christian living in Southern California who admitted to involvement with the film’s logistics, and whose middle name and a known alias closely resemble the apparently fake name — Sam Bacile — used by the filmmaker."
He's also a convicted felon. It also seems there is no movie, only the 15 minute trailer on YouTube. Apparently he's gone into hiding, and Coptic Christians in California distance themselves from him. US intelligence has a million programs to spy on you and me, but they can't seem to stop an obvious terrorist attack on our embassies or investigate a fraudulent film maker. This is a good reminder that all this surveillance and police state apparatus isn't about stopping terrorism. It's about oppressing and subjugating Americans.

Headline says Obama gets tough on Egypt. Story says just the opposite.

This is a great point about the aggressors who call libertarians isolationists.
"Now that the neocons have been in control of the American foreign policy apparatus since the Reagan administration do you, as an American, feel more "engaged"  with the people of the Middle East, or do you feel isolated from them?  Do you feel free  and safe to travel there, to shop, or to form business partnerships whe Saudis, Libyans, or Egyptians, or do you feel isolated from them?  Is it safe to send your children to a university in that part of the world, or on a summer tour-the-world vacation, or is is safer to isolate your children from such people and places?
The answer to these questions is of course "NO," thanks to the belligerent instigationism of the neocons who run the American foreign policy establishment.   They are the real isolationists.  It is war and aggressive military bullying, the defining characteristics of the American empire -- and of all empires -- that isolates peoples of the world from one another.  What brings them together, on the other hand, is peace, free enterprise, and free international trade."
The term isolationist is another word we have to take back from the establishment.

Here's a prediction made by a Mises scholar seven days ago:
"Obama’s foreign meddling will sow the seeds of further conflict and global instability, and yet this failure will be blamed on his allegedly “soft” foreign policy, and thereby give peace a bad name."
This isn't rocket science.
