Free kibbles

FREEDOM OF SPEECH:

Twitter challenges subpoena on the grounds it violates the Fourth Amendment because there was no warrent. I think this is pro-forma to protect Twitter from a lawsuit. Every subpoena could be challenged on that grounds, and they probably were a century ago or more, but today, a subpoena in almost every case acts as a warrant.

EDUCATION:

In a terrible example of how badly government has screwed up our education system, graduates with advanced degrees are on food stamps. Government hasn't just made the bachelor degree worthless. It's done the same to masters and PHDs.

TAX AND SPEND:

Reason exposes the sham of European austerity.

Obama's DOJ is funding Bill Ayer's former terrorist wife Bernardine Dohrn. What else would you expect?

FEDERAL RESERVE:

Once again Peter Schiff cuts through the crap and this time compares the euro, Europe's reserve currency, the to the dollar, the world's reserve currency, and find both dying. The problems with euro may be more cut and dry, but the problems wit the dollar are far bigger. And the euro is based on the dollar.
""He who has the gold makes the rules." In the current global economy, the surplus countries have the gold and sooner or later we will be living by their rules."
Sooner or more sooner is a more accurate observation. We're screwed.

Pat Buchanan doesn't phrase the question in terms of the central bank, but when he asks if this is the end of one Europe,
"What is causing the collapse of the center in Europe?
The answer is yes, and it's central banking. Whether inadvertently or not, Buchanan captures the true nature of central banking:
"From inception, the European project was built on a Faustian bargain."
Faustian indeed. We all sold our savings to the central bankers, and they're collecting them big-time now.

EDUCATION:

School suspended a six year old boy for singing "I'm sexy and I know it" lyrics. Apparently he wasn't handing dollar bills when he sang it. If this stuff doesn't make you weep for your country, then we're doomed.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

I've often questioned the claims of pervasive drought. I think the alarmists have changed the standard of drought to mean something totally different than what it used to mean. This article documents that Minnesota is experienced higher than normal rainfall for a month, including flooding, but NOAA still considers the state in a drought.

Following my recent theory that space weather is the new alarmism to scare people into digging solar storm cellars, here's a report about another potential solar flare. It should be called media flair.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION:

Analyst claims illegal immigrants are defrauding the government out of billions of dollars using child tax credits.
"Each spring, at tax preparation offices all across the nation, many illegal immigrants are now eagerly filing tax returns to take advantage of a tax loophole, using their ITIN numbers to get huge refunds from the IRS.
The loophole is called the Additional Child Tax Credit. It's a fully-refundable credit of up to $1000 per child, and it's meant to help working families who have children living at home.
But 13 Investigates has found many undocumented workers are claiming the tax credit for kids who live in Mexico – lots of kids in Mexico.
"We've seen sometimes 10 or 12 dependents, most times nieces and nephews, on these tax forms," the whistleblower told Eyewitness News. "The more you put on there, the more you get back."
The whistleblower has thousands of examples, and he brought some of them to 13 Investigates. While identifying information such as names and addresses on the tax returns was redacted, it was still clear that the tax filers had received large tax refunds after claiming additional child tax credits for many dependents."
Thanks, government.

WAR:

Clinton lies about Pakistani casualties.

Yesterday I wrote:
"If President Obama wanted to make some points by reminding everybody that he killed bin Laden and that the underwear bomber was thwarted during his administration, he couldn't pick a better method that setting up and thwarting false flag underwear bomber attack on the anniversary of bin Laden's assassination and blame it on al Qaeda in Yemen. According to Foxnews Special Report, there's a lot of confusion about who was briefed on what when, which would make sense for a false flag attack. Any bets on how much of a bounce Obama gets out of this? Like the bin Laden assassination bounce, it won't last long. US government claims to think this bomb was built by al Qaeda in Yemen. More likely it was built in Quantico."
Today I read the alleged bomber, supposedly stopped by the CIA, was in fact a CIA double agent:
"Intelligence agencies and senior officials tell CBS News they're not going anywhere near commenting on the issue for obvious reasons.
The Associated Press is reporting that the alleged double agent has been removed from Yemen and apparently is safe. This may go a long way toward explaining why authorities said yesterday that the bomber was no longer considered a threat.
It may well be now that he was actually working with the CIA all along."
The CIA stopped its own plot, and we're supposed to bow down to their greatness and pony up more money. The FBI has done this a dozen or more times recently. We're the stupidest people in the world. Our children will spit on our graves. The FBI and the CIA are the only people planning attacks against us, and they've got us scared to death so our rulers can loot us back into feudalism. You can't make this stuff up, but it's so incredibly easy to predict. Here's the final stab in the eye:
"Now the FBI has Asiri's most recent bomb at their lab in Quantico, Virginia. What they're doing now is working on reverse engineering it."
What a bunch of lying sacks of excrement. They examined the original underwear bomb then created a new, extra scary design then built that bomb and gave it to their false flag operative in Yemen. Now the double-agent is a hero for foiling the plot. This is a bunch of crap. Peter King thinks Obama misled us. He's walking a fine line. He can't say this was a false flag operation. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
"King described the challenge as walking a "fine line," but said that if officials are trying to keep a secret, they should "do it in a way not to mislead the public.""
I didn't read fine line before I posted it. That's too funny. I think King understands his boundaries.
"Law enforcement sources also told Fox News that the credibility of the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI has been undercut by this -- because in the run-up to the anniversary of Usama bin Laden's death they issued a bulletin saying there was no plot, when the administration, in fact, knew an explosive device was being tracked and intercepted."
Or maybe it's been undercut because everybody in Washington knows this was a false flag operation, but none of them are willing to suffer the consequences of making it public. Ruling class members don't like it when their peers lie to them, it's like failing to adhere to honor among theives. There's going to be a lot more info about this coming out in the future. The press is working hard to cover up the obvious conclusion:
"The would-be suicide bomber in a plot by al Qaeda's Yemeni affiliate was planted in the group by an allied intelligence agency or turned into an informant early in the conspiracy, U.S. officials said on Tuesday.
The CIA and its foreign partners tracked the plot for several weeks and then managed to get the informant to deliver the bomb outside Yemen, possibly to Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates, sources said."
Right. It's like they're magic or something. Occam's razor tells us the simplest explanation is the most likely. The simplest explanation and the only explanation that fits all the reports is the CIA loaded this guy up with a bomb, then reeled him in, claiming they had saved the world.
"U.S. intelligence officials wanted to keep a lid on details of how the plot was uncovered to make sure the informant and the family was safe."
Occam's razor again tells us they want to keep him away from the press to cover up their actions. Think about it. These guys always do a victory dance. But not this time. This time they want us to think they're being responsible.
"The New York Times reported the would-be suicide bomber was an intelligence agent for Saudi Arabia who volunteered for the mission to detonate the bomb aboard a U.S.-bound airliner."
Good thing they stopped him! He volunteered to kill hundreds of people. What wonderful guy. And thanks to the Saudis for setting a mass murderer against us. The biggest pro-government media outlet in the US, the USA Today, wants its readers to know this was a James Bond-like interruption of an evil al Qaeda attack despite all the evidence it was a false flag operation. I'm confident most Americans will fall for the lies.

POLITICS:

While the Europeans are throwing out governments right and left, the Israeli government is amassing power.

A Mises scholar comments on the French election.
"Hollande himself is probably better as a person, especially being less power-hungry than his rival.
But his programme is far worse, and even worse are the people around him. One of Sarkozy's great virtues was his ability to collaborate with strong and competent people, many from outside of his party and even outside of politics. Hollande's team is packed with socialist-party cronies."
Just as his policies sounded worse, it seems they will be worse.

I'm not surprised that a poll says 13 percent of Americans would support an independent run by Ron Paul. That's about what his support level is. Despite all his campaigning, large crowds, money and debate appearances, he hasn't gone higher. I doubt if he ran independent he would quickly jump in the 20s and rise from there though. It's not like the press would suddenly cover him as they do the establishment candidates. That sounds like wishful thinking.

Romney has a double-digit lead over Obama among independents.

Obama appointee quotes Karl Marx in support of Obama's agenda. Anybody who agrees with Marx is an idiot, so I'm not surprised by this.

This article highlights the similarities between the America coasts and Europe in opposition to the rest of the country and hints that the US may break apart as I predict.
"My grandmother landed here on the eastern shore and for the next 72 years lived within view of the port that dropped her off. That may be characteristic of the millions of others who came with her. But those who continued west found a different America. One that rises now and in 2016 and beyond will fully leave Europe and its American colonies behind."
Ominous and hopeful at the same time.

The tea party defeats another RINO with 35 years in the Senate in a primary in Indiana. For all the tea party's flaws, I still commend it for defeating RINOs, and powerful ones.

This inspired a slogan idea: Give me liberty or go to hell.
