Free kibbles

FREEDOM OF SPEECH:

In my article "The Copyright Police State" I predicted the government would quickly pass something like SOPA or PIPA despite the overwhelming negative response of the people.
"Then the empire will pass something much like SOPA either quietly or in a fervor related to some phony national security concern."
Today the House quietly and ahead of schedule to make sure internet companies couldn't mount a defense, passed CISPA, the updated version of SOPA. Once you understand the nature of government, predicting this stuff is easy. Vote by representative. My RINO voted for it. Nearly all Republicans voted for it while most Democrats voted against it. How come John Boehner isn't listed?

SOCIALISM:

Remember when the Occupiers and their labor union partners called for a general strike on May 1? I must not have noticed.

You know how Obama and his cronies pretend that GM is a socialist success story? Here's the real story:
"The president's new campaign video narrated by actor Tom Hanks claims GM has "repaid" its loans. But in a revelation by the special inspector general monitoring the TARP bailout program, GM and GMAC together still owe the biggest share of the remaining $119 billion TARP debt."
I have lost all respect for Tom Hanks.

ECONOMY:

A record number of Americans believe they have enough money to live comfortably. I hope they know how to protect that money because if they don't, they're going to be wiped out in the coming collapse.

As the government loots the middle class into extinction, Google offers virtual photo-tours of tourist attractions. I can't blame Google for this. It has to play the hand government has dealt us. But this reeks.

TAX AND SPEND:

For a long time I've been warning that the government is going to steal your IRAs and 401ks and other retirement accounts. That time is imminent.

Greeks are about to crush at the polls the same rulers who looted them dry for imposing so-called austerity measures on them. On the one hand, I love that these crooks are getting ousted. On the other hand, I know they have escape plans. On the third hand, I know our US representatives are watching this election and they have their own escape plans. All funded with our money. No reasonable person can be happy about that.

HEALTH CARE:

The FDA may generously allow the serfs to buy some drugs without prescriptions. Bow down and kiss the feet of your benevolent masters you worthless dogs!

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Britain's alarmist Met office predicted April droughts. Instead Britain had the most rain it's had in 100 years. It was also cold.

If you do some simple math, you can see solar energy doesn't pay.

Obama forces EPA bureaucrat who explained that Obama's policy was to crucify and make examples of oil companies to resign.

We all know about Obama's failed loan to Solyndra, but do you know about his other failed green loans?

Government's wind farms are warming Texas.

WAR ON DRUGS:

Do I need to tell you that TSA goons work for drug cartels? I hope not. If I do, I've failed.

POLICE STATE:

More on how the FBI suckered some patsies into the supposed May Day Cleveland bomb plot.
"In typical fashion, the Federal Bureau of Investigation revealed that five self-styled left-wing anarchists arrested late Monday for allegedly trying to blow up a bridge near Cleveland were actually shepherded through every step of the supposed plot by government agents. The FBI later claimed nobody was ever in real danger because the federal government gave the alleged “terrorists” fake bombs."
How many times are we going to fall for this ploy? They sucker Muslims, leftists, conservatives and anybody who will fall for their baloney. But somehow they never get charged with entrapment. That's because laws are for serfs, not rulers.

WAR:

I'm unimpressed with the CIA's failure to find bin Laden during Bush's terms and it's eventual success during
Obama's term. Had we unleashed a couple of entrepreneurial companies to find bin Laden after Bush's misguided forces lost him in Afghanistan, they'd have found him in weeks, and it would have cost thousands. Instead it took the CIA years and it cost billions.

Pat Buchanan asks what we have gained from a decade of war. Suffering. The American people have suffered the deaths and dismemberment of tens of thousands of Americans, if not more. The Afghans, Iraqis and the people of a dozen other countries have suffered millions of deaths and dismemberments. Americans now face far more people who want to kill us than ever before. But on the plus side, US corporations have the inside track to the rare earth minerals in Afghanistan plus a phantom pipeline and the Iraqis are still trading oil denominated in dollars. I said long ago that the US government achieved its goals in 2002. Buchanan agrees:
""America has no designs beyond an end to al-Qaida safe havens," said Obama in Bagram. "Our goal is not to build a country in America's image, or to eradicate every vestige of the Taliban."
But if those are our goals, had we not achieved them all by early 2002? What, then, were we fighting for – these 10 years?"
Resources. Rare earth minerals. A hope of a pipeline. That's what the Afghan war was always about. Bush could have sent in a tiny force of special ops with air support to take out a couple of hundred al Qaeda terrorists. Instead he chose to send in 150,000 troops to take over the entire country because his real goal was minerals and a pipeline. That's why he failed to take out OBL and the al Qaeda fighters. That was never the goal.

POLITICS:

It looks like France will go further down the dumper.
"Mr Hollande has pledged to spend €20bn (£16.2bn), lower the retirement age, and raise taxes on business and the rich. So that’s spending not austerity, retrenchment not reform and anti-capitalist to boot."
It's shocking that France was one of the EU's economic stalwarts.
"Last week, eurozone unemployment hit a record high, economic data pointed towards recession, even in Germany, and the European Central Bank repeated its insistence that it could not help. So Mr Hollande’s first point – that the Merkozy solution isn’t working – cannot be dismissed. More strangely, far from being dangerously radical, some of his economic policies are beginning to sound positively mainstream.
Like Mr Sarkozy, he too wants to balance France’s budget – but by 2017, rather than 2016. Mr Sarkozy has pledged a further €53.5bn of additional savings, 75pc of which will come from spending cuts. Mr Hollande wants to smooth his austerity with a €20bn stimulus package."
In other words, just like in every other democracy, the people really have no choice. Because of all the theft performed ostensibly to support the PIIGS, the eurozone is history. Germans won't keep paying for everybody else.

Ron Paul supporters take over Maine Republican party. And Nevada.

On leftist hypocrisy about minority status.

In a good reminder that Barack Obama is just like Bush the Younger on steroids, his speeches are even more dumbed down than Bush's.

In the old days, before I realized the nature of government, I used to love that the candidates came to Ohio. When I lived in Texas I regretted they never showed up there. Now that I know better, the fact they come to Ohio all the freaking time just irritates the crap out of me. Get off my TV. Quit robo-calling me. Go waste everybody else's time you lying pieces of crap.

MEDIA:

Some guy claims he knows the differences between Obama and Romney.
"As we know from the 2008 campaign and his time as president, Mr. Obama believes it is right to "look at raising the capital gains tax for purposes of fairness." He also said in 2008: "I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."
Mr. Romney has said that "President Obama's trillion-dollar federal takeover of the U. S. health care system is a disaster for the federal budget, a disaster for the constitutional principles of federalism, and a disaster for the American people.""
Apparently this guy mistakes rhetoric for reality. Maybe he doesn't know that Romney proposed significant tax increases when he was governor of Massachusetts, but the legislature toned them down so only a portion of them became law. And maybe he doesn't know Romney pushed and passed the model for Obamacare in Massachusetts. I don't believe it. I think this guy is evil, not stupid. I believe he is intentionally misleading his readers about the records of both men.

I often cite LewRockwell favorite and fantastic journalist Erik Margolis, and now he's being linked to al Qaeda because of his in depth and detailed coverage of al Qaeda for three decades.
"In letters allegedly captured by US special forces from bin Laden’s compound, Al-Qaida’s public relations people cited me and 19 other western journalists as potential recipients of new documents about the 9/11 attacks on the US."
"As these letters shows, Al-Qaida was never the vast, worldwide terror organization that President George W. Bush claimed. As I witnessed, it was always tiny, no more than 200 men. Al-Qaida’s original goal was to fight the mostly Tajik and Uzbek Afghan Communists and their Soviet masters."
If you believe we sent 150,000 US troops into Afghanistan because of Osama bin Laden and 200 men, you're a fool. Here's a fact you never hear in the press.
"Al-Qaida became an ally of Taliban in this anti-Communist struggle. But Taliban had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks. As the renowned journalist Arnaud de Borchgrave reported from Afghanistan, Taliban’s tribal chiefs tried to oust firebrand Bin Laden from their nation."
The press always reports the opposite, but the opposite makes no sense. This is why the Bush/Obama administration has covered up all information about al Qaeda, 9/11 and the Taliban.
"Today, what’s left of al-Qaida numbers no more than 25 men in Afghanistan, according to US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta."
If you believe for this we are spending $10 billion a month, killing untold numbers of people and having our troops killed, then you're a fool, the kind of fool government loves.
"My sources tell me a huge bribe led the US to bin Laden, not torture."
This makes a lot of sense. The establishment story that CIA agents uncovered OBL's location after a decade of waterboarding a few guys hundreds of times defies reason. I wrote about that above. It makes far more sense that the reward finally worked or somebody dialed a wrong phone number or something. Here's the conclusion we all should embrace.
"Al-Qaida lives on after bin Laden, but as a tiny bunch of western-hating militants with no power and little ability to stage major attacks. Violent anti-American groups from West Africa to Indonesia have adopted the title al-Qaida. For example, al-Qaida in Iraq never existed before the US invasion.
It’s like the slaves in the film "Spartacus" crying out, "we are all Spartacus."
These stepsons of al-Qaida are not centrally linked and have nothing in common except for opposing western domination of the Muslim world and espousing religious law. As US intervention in Africa and Central Asia intensifies, so will they spread. It’s a perpetual terrorist motion machine."
Stop making enemies, no matter how impotent today. One day, they might not be so impotent.

LOCAL:

Internet sweepstakes cafes in Middletown.

I'm happy that people are scrutinizing a firm whose agents shot and killed a man. I only wish people did the same to government agents who kill people all the time with impunity. Government highways kill tens of thousands every year. Government's health care system kills hundreds of thousands, but nobody cares. Our government has adopted Stalin's point of view: one death is a tragedy, thousands are a statistic.

MISC:

Secret Service agents will now have chaperons. Let's hope this exposes the illegitimacy of government.

Why is anybody surprised to find out that parents are happier than non-parents? Our genes, which evolved for billions of years and began evolving from heterosexual relations hundreds of millions of years ago, program us to have children. If you satisfy those instinctual urges, you're more likely to be happy than otherwise. This is like saying that people who choose to live, another primal instinct driven by our genes, are happier than people kill themselves. And yeah, is earlier studies claimed otherwise, they were flawed. Duh. God love scientists for proving the obvious. When I was young I wanted to be a scientist, and I'm sure there are still good scientists out there doing good work, but everything I read about science in the press is crap. Government funded crap.

Who would have ever guessed that power corrupts if scientists hadn't figured it out? It's not like it's such common knowledge that there's a saying about it or anything. What would we do without scientists discovering the obvious? Though I doubt the politicians are happy they funding this research. Somebody's going to get fired.

Don't buy a new car. Don't buy a hybrid. Especially if you want to be green,  buy a cheap used car.
