Free kibbles

TAX AND SPEND:

NASA goes nuclear hunting for new funds by claiming weather satellites are dying. Weather stations can launch their own satellites using their own money if they believe that investment is worth it. This is a naked money-grab by NASA. It's pure alarmism.

REGULATION:

Motorola Mobility wins ruling in Germany that blocks sales of Xbox and Windows 7. Let's hope the people who want those products get angry enough to get rid of patents. More likely Microsoft will settle, and the big corporations will be just fine while the little guys will be continue to be hosed.

If you want a cushy job, get a law degree and adjudicate bogus patent claims. How easy does life get for these people? Why didn't my counselor tell me this? Oh wait.... Somebody has to do the real work....

HEALTH CARE:

Government is now using the bogus statistic of "food insecurity" to steal more of our freedom.

Pretty much all seafood from China is terribly polluted and should not be eaten, so it's great news that giant tiger shrimp are thriving in the US Gulf of Mexico. This is going to be an economic boon for the area, but this story would have us believe this is a bad thing.

Remember when government wasn't going to ration health care? Apparently they didn't ask doctors in Britain.
"More than half of doctors across the UK have backed controversial measures to withhold treatment to smokers and the obese."
When is somebody going to address the grotesque consequences, like this, of government licensing of doctors?

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

My goodness. If you look at the history of the global warming scam, skeptics have been proven right over and over and the frauds have been proven wrong over and over, but this article from the New York Times acts like the opposite is true. It's just amazing. This cartoon accurately illustrates the situation.

Obama releases a communist-style ten year plan using global warming as excuse to further damage the US economy.

Forensic analysis concludes pseudo-scientist Gleick is likely forger of Fake-gate email. Pretty much everybody already figured this out, but having a scientific analysis is important evidence. It remains an open question whether or not the US government, which funds pretty much all global warming pseudo-science, will prosecute one of its agents. I doubt it. Gleick can turn on the establishment that funds the frauds, so I bet the government leaves him alone.

EPA accused of human experiments.
"“Which do you find more shocking: that the Environmental Protection Agency conducts experiments on humans that its own risk assessment would deem potentially lethal, or that it hides the results of those experiments from Congress and the public because they debunk those very same assessments?”

This critical question forms the basis for the attached Washington Times article: “Did Obama’s EPA relaunch Tuskegee experiments?” By Steve Milloy."
I'm not shocked by either. Do you understand the nature of government?

Wattsupwiththat on fracking. Anthony is often very full of himself. That doesn't make this a bad story.

Goofball baseball announcer Tim McCarver claims more home runs early this season are the result of global warming. That guy should have been removed for being a crappy commentator years ago. His analysis has always been poor. Let's hope this debacle gets him removed.

Old New Zealand map illustrates that sea levels are retreating around New Zealand in contrast to the claims of global warming frauds.

WAR ON DRUGS:

Returning US troops hooked on drugs. Let's do a hypocrite check: if you "support the troops" raise your hand. If you don't want to save the troops lives by bringing them home, raise your hands. You're the hypocrites.

Man hanging out with friends on 4/20, the unofficial legalize marijuana day, ends up stuck in prison for five days. But that's not all.
"The Drug Enforcement Administration apologized Wednesday to Chong, who was "accidentally" left in a holding cell for five days and reportedly drank his own urine to survive."
The entitled agents who never had to earn a living in their lives in a system of voluntary exchange, just let this guy go for five days without food or water. I'm not buying the drinking urine crap after five days. I'm not saying he didn't do it, but people have lived far longer without drinking water. I'm saying this illustrated the inevitable depravity that results from a system funded by institutional theft.

POLICE STATE:

Protesters in Canada bait riot police with donuts on fishing poles. The most interesting aspect of this picture is the cops resist the bait. I doubt the same would happen in America.

Becky Ayers exposes government at it's best. I mean worst. I mean best by their standards, worst by human standards.
"The morning is but a few hours old, and we already have a quote of the day. Rep. Francisco Canseco (R-TX) decried the absurdity of the “pain[ful]” sexual assault he endured from one of the TSA’s goons by asking, “What on earth is a U.S. congressman going to do on a plane? Pull out a gun and shoot everybody?”
Of course not. U.S. congressmen recruit other people’s children to pull out guns and shoot everybody."
She's being to kind. Really.

Because power corrupt and all policemen have power, aren't all policemen secret, self-serving police?

A former TSA crook believes we should kiss up to TSA agents because they are just following orders. We all know how that worked out in WWII. I so look forward to the day when juries refuse to accept that defense in the US.

I stills ask, as I always do, why to parents subject their children to TSA molestation then complain about it? It's like throwing your kid out of an airplane, then complaining that they fell to their deaths. As much as I hate the TSA, parents can't have it both ways. If they submit their child to TSA abuse, I don't want to hear about their complaints about said abuse. It's not like the TSA showed up and ambushed them. Everybody knows TSA is stalking all air travelers.

WAR:

Every parent of a child who commits an atrocity blames their behavior on somebody else. Show me the parent who says they created a murderer or rapist. I'm not buying it. Junior Seau's mom didn't raise him to commit suicide. Are you going blame war for that too?

Did you really think US forces would leave Afghanistan in 2013?
"President Obama has signed a security agreement with Afghanistan. It is estimated that 25,000 U.S. troops will stay in Afghanistan after the war is officially over. Welcome to Afghanistan: the new South Korea."
If you did, you're a tool of our rulers.

The government's pretense of caring about government agents employing prostitutes is hilarious.

The US government fails to report insider Afghan attacks to make it appear they are doing better in the war than they really are.
"The U.S.-led coalition routinely reports each time an American or other foreign soldier is killed by an Afghan in uniform. But The Associated Press has learned it does not report insider attacks in which the Afghan wounds — or misses — his U.S. or allied target. It also doesn't report the wounding of troops who were attacked alongside those who were killed."
You can't make this stuff up.
"Such attacks reveal a level of mistrust and ill will between the U.S.-led coalition and its Afghan counterparts in an increasingly unpopular war."
God forbid the serfs learn about these attacks. You might ask, is there honest person in government? The answer is none that have access to the media. It's also sad the press complains about this as if they aren't complicit in the cover up.

A government judge rules that video of OBL's assassination will remaind secret, presuming it exists. Liberal Glenn Grenwald blasts Obama for his handling of the reported Osama bin Laden execution and the press's complicity in the facade.
"]W]hile the Obama administration has insisted to the court that all such materials are classified and cannot be disclosed without compromising crucial National Security secrets, the President’s aides have been continuously leaking information about the raid in order to create politically beneficial pictures of what happened."
I'm shocked! He's saying that president used his power for political gain. That's never happened in the history of the US except for every time the president wanted to do it. This is another dog bites man story. Tell me Bush the Younger, Clinton, Bush the Elder, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy and so freaking on back to Washington didn't do the same. This is why incumbency is so powerful. Not that this isn't a good story. It's all the better because a liberal is blasting the Marxist in office even though the precedent is a yawner.
"This is what the Obama administration does over and over. It’s a flagrant abuse of its secrecy powers. It uses anonymous leaks to selectively boast about what it does and thus shape media narratives and public understanding of its conduct (also called “domestic propaganda”). But it then simultaneously insists that the whole matter is classified — Top Secret — when it comes time to be subjected to any form of legal accountability or have its assertions publicly tested."
Am I supposed to be surprised by this? I feel for the naive people who believe that government should be something other than crude and self-serving. It's like wishing an asteroid would change its course so it doesn't hit the planet.

New book claims Osama bin Laden offered no resistance to his assassins. There's nothing new here. After we sorted through Obama's lies, we learned that a year ago. Obama illegally ordered his execution, and we're all worse off for it. It's an outrageous failure of government that is supposedly took ten years to find him. I don't believe it. I can't believe that hundreds of billions of dollars of intelligence is that incompetent. It's not possible the CIA is that incompetent. They hid him so they could use him to promote their imperial agenda.

Hundreds pay tribute to bin Laden. So what? Can you imagine if the press covered every story about hundreds of protester. Every day somewhere in the world, hundreds of protesters are gathering. Why is that news? Apparently this is supposed to scare all of us into giving hundreds of billions more to the police state.

FOREIGN POLICY:

Because Hillary Clinton is in China, the escape of this political prisoner to the US embassy is big news, but I wonder what will happen as soon as Clinton leaves and he's no longer on the media radar. It didn't take long to get reports he had been coerced to leave. I think this guy's in big trouble, and the US government didn't do him any favors by turning him back over to the Chinese government.
"A State Department spokeswoman in Washington insisted that Chen never sought political asylum in the United States and that he decided to leave the embassy to ensure he could be with his family."
This claim will be repudiated soon too.
"Bob Fu of Texas-based ChinaAid Assn. also said he had received reliable reports that Chen's decision to leave the embassy was done reluctantly because "serious threats to his immediate family members were made by Chinese government." Fu said the reports show the United States "has abandoned Mr. Chen.""
This is a direct result of the US government's fiscal irresponsibility. It needs the Chinese government to buy US bonds, so it can't take a stance on this. This guy would have been far better off to go to the Swiss embassy. The Chinese government has nothing to hold over the head of the Swiss government. Congrats to the New York Times for pointing out how this harms the US government. The US embassy personnal in China have been ordered to claim this guy didn't request Asylum, and the press is dutifully promoting that baloney as they are required to do by government. The embassy personnel and the press are all fine bureaucrats who know who butters their bread. I'm disgusted by lying, sucking up headlines like this,
"US says it's still trying to help Chinese activist"
Helping him to an early grave maybe. What a crock of manure. All the headlines we've been seeing apologizing for the US government's amoral actions regarding this man lead me to believe he'll be dead in days if not hours. Oh my goodness, why couldn't this man have gone to the Swiss embassy so he could save himself and his family.

I don't know if everybody understands the position our government has created. People want our government to take a hard line with China. Meaning military threats. But if our government took a hard line with China, China would dump US debt and refuse to buy any more. The result would be we couldn't feed our troops. Anywhere. The US government has no power to take a hard line with China. China, because it owns so much US debt, controls our government, not vice versa. I want to make this clear. There is no conflict between the Chinese government and the US government. China dictates. The US bows. The economic reality dictates it can't be any other way. US bellicosity toward China is a charade.

The embarrassment of the US regarding this guy continues. Now they claim they are still working to help him. Right after they signed his death warrant by kicking out of the embassy. I'm starting to feel ghoulish for pointing this out. Man, I hope this guy lives and escapes with his family, but I can't see how that happens. It seems to me the US government sold him down the river. The only hope he has for a little while is the Chinese government doesn't want this to be an international story. All they have to do is give it a couple of days. Americans will forget about it. Then they can kill him and his entire family, just like the US government would do. You don't believe me? Go as the Branch Davidians from Waco.

I often get great laughs out of newpaper headlines. Here's a good one.
"Experts: Blind activist episode will lead to more incidents.
I guess the experts believe that people want to be killed. These are probably the same experts who are wrong on our economy day after day. What did this activist gain? Nothing. He's unlikely to survive May thanks to the US government selling him out. Of course after he's killed, the US government will raise a phony cry, as if they weren't partners in his murder, but it won't matter to him or anybody else. Why would any Chinese dissident who wasn't suicidal do the same? The US government hung this guy out to dry. Nobody will follow him to the US embassy. Never. And rightly so. God forbid. Hopefully they'll escape to the Swiss embassy. That's a real country with a real, positive civil rights record which could give them a hope for survival. Apparently the guy who never asked for asylum wants to fly out of China with Secretary Clinton. I feel so bad for this man. He's fallen for the US government crack much like US government serfs. This is a fantastic example of how the US government lies to reporters, and they dutifully report the lies knowing full well they are lies.

POLITICS:

I bet these Columbian prostitutes are scared to death to find out they're being investigated by the Secret Service.

Here's the best description of the Ron Paul revolution I've seen yet.
"What little commentary we’ve seen from the media on Ron Paul’s silent coup presently underway in the Republican Party has focused mostly on its implications for the 2012 Republican Primary and whether Paul can hold back Romney’s delegate count just long enough to ensure a brokered convention, which is the only feasible scenario in which Paul could emerge as the party’s nominee.
But perhaps more important and far-reaching in its implications for the future of national politics in the US, is not Ron Paul’s delegate count, but the fact that his supporters are successfully taking over the Republican Party district by district, county by county, state by state. That the fiercely independent Republican congressman from Texas might still have a tiny chance at winning his party’s nomination, while interesting, is less important than what he will most certainly have succeeded at doing: Ron Paul has built a political machine."
I used to hope for the Libertarian Party to win stuff, but a while back I realized the only way to save the country is for libertarians to take over one party, most likely the Republican party because Republicans at least pay lip service to limited government. Ron Paul has spearheaded that takeover.
"Whether media commentators consider this change a good or bad thing for the Republican Party and for the future of American politics, they have an obligation to report it to their audiences and acknowledge just how significant this change is."
I'm not going to hold my breath.

Establishment Republicans try more illegal activities in Maine.
"In the last few days, GOP Chairman Charlie Webster has come under criticism for announcing in a recent email that Charles Cragin of Raymond would be chairman of this weekend’s convention.
...
The party’s own bylaws, however, indicate that a convention chairman must be selected at the convention, not beforehand. So, did party officials violate their own rules?"
Why not? Laws apply to serfs, not rulers.

Criticism of Ron Paul supporters for obeying the rules. There's an important lesson here. There's an old saying: if voting changed anything, government would outlaw it. The reality is, that for generations, the two parties have fooled Americans into believing that their votes determined the presidential candidate. That's a fraud. The reality is their votes mean little in most states and none in the rest. Nominees are always selected by party insiders. Party insiders set this system up to derail outside candidates. The establishment controls all aspects of the election. They control the press. They control the party officers. They control the money. But despite all that, they don't trust the people to nominate their chosen one so they also control the parliamentary process for choosing delegates. In general, the people follow the establishment, and there's no problem. But there's the weakness. It exposes them to a passionate faction who can take over the parliamentary process. Ron Paul supporters have done just that, and the frauds who set the system up are outraged. But the media refuses to cover the story. This is a fabulous question. What will Ron Paul's delegates do when they lose? Losing is not a foregone conclusion, but it's most likely. A number of Paul supporters are pledged to Romney on the first ballot, and chances are Romney will have enough of those to win the nomination of the first ballot. Before then we know Paul supporters will have a tremendous impact on the platform. That's like having a tremendous impact on a pizza box after the pizza is gone. So what happens next? The author of this article asks the question, but has no idea of the answer.

Generally, losing candidates work deals with winner to pay of their campaign debts. Apparently Newt Gingrich is so bad at managing finances, his creditors and staffers believe he will never pay them. In hindsight, he's the perfect president. He spends all the money he wants with no regard for fiscal reality.

I've always claimed Ron Paul was a wonderful, honest politician. I also point out top economists in the Austrian tradition, dare I say, top economics, appreciate him, but I've never claimed Paul is a great economist. In this interview in which he debates Paul Krugman, I change my tune. Ron Paul is a better economist than Nobel Prize winner Paul Krugman. I would like to thank Paul Krugman for being bold enough to debate Ron Paul on TV. Nobody else has done that, and by doing so Krugman really elevated Paul in my eyes. This is the best Ron Paul interview I've ever seen.

Just a reminder that JFK used the supposedly noble Secret Service as pimps. Let's all bow down to our lord pimps.

Remember how the establishment told us the Secret Service has this one time mistake by a a few dozen bad apples in Columbia, but not to worry? The Secret Service culture was one of tremendous professionalism, sacrifice and service. It's not like these guys were standard government bureaucrats living the party life because they were corrupted by earning a living off money stolen from taxpayers at the point of a gun like the GSA. The hookers in El Salvador beg to differ. God love them for partying like Roman emperors on our dime like every other government employee.

Why is it news that Marco Rubio wants to rule the world just like every other US politician? Who cares that he's a VP candidate. What VP candidate doesn't want to rule the world? This is another dog bites man story.

MEDIA:

Does anybody remember when the mass media, all of them, conspired to cover up the obvious and salacious John Edwars affair. I feel so bad for his wife and the people the press betrayed, but this makes me feel even worse.
"Breast-cancer sufferer Elizabeth Edwards also collapsed during the fight in an airport car park, a witness said.
Mr Edwards' daughter left the court in tears during the latest evidence in her father's campaign finance trial."
Oh my God. Can this man be more evil? Of course he could. He's demonstrably not as evil as Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton as evidenced by his failure to seize power.

LOCAL:

In another local example of the education bubble,
"Despite increases in tuition, virtually every university in the Dayton area will see a boost in enrollment this fall, and the University of Dayton is expecting a freshman class that is among the five largest in its 162-year history."
This is wonderful if you're a bureaucrat or an employee at a university. It's terrible news for the students and the rest of Americans because when the bubble pops, they'll be left holding the bag.

Another naked money-grab by local government. Note to the people who live hear. Don't make money. If you do, the government is going to steal it.

MISC:

Another way China is more free than the US: no eminent domain.

There's a reason children love comic books. It's the story, not the art. Comic book stories, every month, are morality plays that resonate with children. These morality plays play out in microcosm every month and in longer terms over the series. This is why movies based on comic books are the best movies in the world any more.

  1. Regarding the USA owing large amounts of money to China - Old Saying...
If I owe the bank $10,000 dollars, and have no way of paying it back, I have a problem, but if I owe the bank $10,000,000 dollars, and have no way of paying it back, the bank has a problem.
