Free kibbles

TAX AND SPEND:

White House data contradicts Obama's rhetoric about the Buffet rule. In other words, Obama is busted for lying again.

$3.2 million government rest area has no water or sewage connections. Enjoy the outhouse.

I'm skeptical of these articles claiming Obama's tax rate is less than his secretary's. This sounds like propaganda to support his Buffet boondoggle initiative to me. Here's why I'm skeptical: Gallop claims 6 in 10 support stealing more money from Buffet and other rich people.

EDUCATION:

Another consequence of government prison schools: virus outbreaks. Government schools are incubators for viruses, bacteria, parasites and disease.

Slum dwellers in India save for private schooling, and their children definitely get a better education than Americans get in government schools.

POLICE STATE:

UK government using psychologists to enable them to kidnap over 10,000 children a year.
"Far too often the parents aren’t allowed to challenge the reports in court — even though the ‘experts’, rather than practising in clinics and seeing patients, may earn all their living from writing such reports, and endorsing what the social workers want them to say."
Typical.

POLITICS:

It looks like Ron Paul is capitalizing on Santorum's withdrawal. Gingrich is probably staying in to insure Paul doesn't overtake Romney.

Ron Paul tops Obama in recent Rasmussen poll while Romney is tied with him.

I've long known that drinking alcohol boosts problem solving ability. It reduces inhibitions.

MISC:

Scientists are shocked that planetary systems don't conform to their restrictive rules. I'm not. Models are full of assumptions, and government funded pseudo-scientists have manipulated them to their advantage, but there's nothing to be gained about lying about lying about planetary formation unlike global warming or other, more politically powerful baloney.

There's likely to be a tornado outbreak from northern Texas to Nebraska tomorrow. Let's hope nobody gets hurt.

I guess I should just be open and admit I'm pissed to the gills with the Reds. They gave Votto a stupid, giant contract. Show me any team that paid $225 to one player and won the world series. Oops. You can't. It's never happened. The Yankees have never done it. The Red Sox have never done it. The Phillies have never done it. Even the biggest markets in baseball have been unable to win after they've dealt out such ridiculously large contracts. The Reds will be no different. And as much as love the Reds signing Brandon Phillips, the Votto contract will prevent them from winning with or without Phillips. I love Brandon Phillips. I wish they had resigned Phillips and traded Votto for several good players. If they had done so, they would be World Series contenders. They could have obtained a decent left-field slugger, but they chose not to. The Votto contract guarantees they will never, during his tenure, compete for a World Series. Money matters. Any team that blows all its money on one guy can't compete for a World Series. And the way this team started the season is exactly what I expected from a poorly managed club as exemplified by their poorly managed off-season. The Reds management is more interested in Starball than Winningball, and we're all going to suffer because of it.
