Free kibbles

RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS:

Bloomberg calls stand your ground laws a right to murder. And you thought Republicans were different from Democrats. This is an important reminder that even idiots can become billionaires.

TAX AND SPEND:

The Buffet rule will do nothing to reduce the deficit. This would be an example of Obama stumbling, but the press won't say that.

The ultra-rich pay a lot more in taxes than everybody else. But Obama never said otherwise. He just said that's not enough because they still take home way more than everybody else too. Fairness is a subjective issue, and attempts to respond objectively will have little if any impact.

The US is following the path of the Soviet Union.
"The biggest story of the late 20th century was the collapse of the Soviet Union. After decades of a government controlled, centrally planned economy and outsized military expenditures the Soviet Union just one day ceased to be. Fast forward a few decades and now the biggest story about to happen in the early 21st century will be the collapse of the US empire for the exact same reasons."
The US collapse will be bigger.
"In fact, the only two significant places in the world where capitalism seems to be distinctively out of favor are the US and Western Europe."
I don't know about that with Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, Castro still in Cuba and a communist president in Brazil, but clearly asians have embraced capitalism to their great benefit and westerners have rejected it to their great detriment.
"Doug Casey is well known for having said, "Europe will mainly serve as a source of houseboys and maids for the Chinese". And, the way the US is going, many US citizens will likely serve much the same role. A lot of the hackey sack playing drum circle Occupy Wall Street denizens will soon be drafted into the military to pay off their tens or hundreds of thousands worth of student debt and will become cannon fodder in the US Government's next criminal war... perhaps Iran. And those who avoid that fate will likely end up waiting tables or driving taxis in Latin America or Asia as well, muttering their Marxist propaganda under their breath as they facilitate the transit of their much more productive employers."
That's what happens when you reject capitalism.

FEDERAL RESERVE:

Serious inflation in China.

EDUCATION:

Harvard, crown jewel in the Ivy League's miseducation of smart people with stupid ideas, will offer a class called "Understanding Obama".

On a classical education and what happened to it.
"The literatures of Greece and Rome comprise the longest and fullest continuous record available to us, of what the human mind has been busy about in practically every department of spiritual and social activity; every department, I think, except one — music. This record covers 2,500 consecutive years of the human mind's operations in poetry, drama, law, agriculture, philosophy, architecture, natural history, philology, rhetoric, astronomy, politics, medicine, theology, geography, everything. Hence the mind that has attentively canvassed this record is not only a disciplined mind but an experienced mind; a mind that instinctively views any contemporary phenomenon from the vantage point of an immensely long perspective attained through this profound and weighty experience of the human spirit's operations. If I may paraphrase the words of Emerson, this discipline brings us into the feeling of an immense longevity, and maintains us in it. You may perceive at once, I think, how different would be the view of contemporary men and things, how different the appraisal of them, the scale of values employed in their measurement, on the part of one who has undergone this discipline and on the part of one who has not. These studies, then, in a word, were regarded as formative because they are maturing, because they powerfully inculcate the views of life and the demands on life that are appropriate to maturity and that are indeed the specific marks, the outward and visible signs, of the inward and spiritual grace of maturity."
That would be immensely valuable to promote individual thought and initiative. It would be hard to manipulate a person with that much perspective. No wonder government put an end to it.

HEALTH CARE:

Paleo survey released.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

NASA fires back at the 50 scientists, engineers and astronauts who chided them about their unbridled support for the great global warming scam. I'm going to get some popcorn and watch the fireworks. If this continues, it could possibly put this fraud to bed for a few decades. I hope.

I don't care where cronyist billionaire T. Boone Pickens loses money. Poor baby got suckered into wind power by the communist greens. I don't feel sorry for him.

Supposed drought conditions all across the USA. I bet the standards for drought today are much lower than they were 30 years ago. I bet the same is true for wet weather. I think they keep moving the yardstick to make it appear things are abnormal.

WAR ON DRUGS:

Marijuana as pain reliever.

POLICE STATE:

Eight police officers fire 90 rounds at unarmed man, killing him.
"He jumped out of the car and ran. Then he turned and appeared to run backwards. Police said he assumed a "shooting stance" and appeared to raise his arms and appear to point a weapon, prompting them to open fire, killing him."
This guy appears to have wanted to commit suicide by cop, but why did the police have to oblige him? Why not let him drive home then pick him up later? And how incompetent to they have to be to fire 90 rounds? This is a good reminder that every law government passes is a threat of murder against every person in the country, and government agents regularly follow through on that threat. If you don't stay in your lane, cops might murder you. If you run a stop sign, cops might murder you. It doesn't matter that you threaten nobody. They will chase you and ultimately murder you for not submitting.

Horrible facts about our prison society.
"Mass incarceration on a scale almost unexampled in human history is a fundamental fact of our country today – perhaps the fundamental fact, as slavery was the fundamental fact of 1850. In truth, there are more black men in the grip of the criminal-justice system – in prison, on probation, or on parole – than were in slavery then. Over all, there are now more people under ‘correctional supervision’ in America – more than six million – than were in the Gulag Archipelago under Stalin at its height."
We're the stupidest people in the world.

The FBI wants to advance the science of interrogation. That doesn't sound sinister.

WAR:

Obama doesn't want the Afghan war to end in 2014.

FOREIGN POLICY:

After all the alarmism about North Korea's supposed missile launch, the launch failed. The press tries to scare us every day that North Korea might launch the missile, but they've known all along they would launch it today in remembrance of the 100 year anniversary of their founder's birth. The alarmism was another bunch of propaganda from the establishment.

POLITICS:

The head of the New Black Panthers calls for building an army that will kill "in self-defense" in Florida. I doubt Romney's AG would go after this guy any more than Holder.

You know how Obama pretends to champion women?
"Female employees in the Obama White House make considerably less than their male colleagues, records show."
It's a lie like everything else he says.

Obama's approval lowest of the year and Romney tops Obama in poll.

Here's a case for supporting Obama over Romney. No matter who is president, our economy is going to crash hard in the next few years. It's already in the pipeline because of all the money the Fed has printed, and nobody can stop it. It's being done by design. It's been planned for decades. Greenspan and Bernanke have been carrying it out by destroying the dollar at an amazing rate. It's going to be worse than the Great Depression. When it happens, our rulers are going to use this orchestrated crash to try to implement a North American Union and the amero currency, centralizing more power in a more unaccountable government much like the EU. Remember Rahm Emmanuel admitting our rulers never let a good crisis go to waste? If Obama is president, the American people will blame socialism and powerfully resist this power grab. If Romney is president, most Americans will sit passively by while this power grab happens the same way they sat quietly by while Bush and Republicans nearly doubled the size of government. I doubt the American people can stop it because this has been planned for so long. Remember how the government implemented TARP over the vehement objections of 90 percent of Americans? The same will probably happen this time. But the American people will never consider this North American Union legitimate if Obama is in power, so we will have a chance to undo it. If Romney is in power, the people will sit back and take it. Note that I support neither Obama nor Romney. This is just an argument.

Santorum says he dropped out of race because of lack of money.

MEDIA:

The meme moves on. This time a female Democrat operative gets slammed for attacking Romney's wife, but President Obama and his team are the good guys defending Romney's wife. It's not a misstep on Obama's part even though this woman is a close associate with Obama. This was staged by Obama to enable him to be the great defender of stay at home moms. The media is never going to blame Obama for anything. They will praise him no matter what. But they will attack Romney whether he messes up or not. This may have backfired, but it was still by design. Obama's tool apologizes for this remark because it turned in Romney's favor. But Obama got to be the defender of stay at home moms. Obama will instigate another way to hammer this wedge later in the campaign. Here we go again. The Romney campaign accurately links Rosen to Obama, but MSNBC slams the Romney campaign even though it's correct. I really how Romney falls flat and Ron Paul gets the nomination. I'm already sick of the Obama-Romney games.

Ron Paul video game. This is awesome.

MISC:

How communism nearly wiped out the Plymouth settlers.

Primal prepping.
