Free kibbles

ECONOMY:

The Dow continues to collapse in the wake of this debt ceiling fiasco. It closed down over 600 points. Investors realize that printing money to buy skyrocketing government debt is no substitute for economic growth. The house of cards is collapsing. I'm not saying it won't come back. It will. Our rulers will figure out some manipulation, be it money printing, seizing companies or something else, to temporarily prop the Dow back up, but everything it does will make the real economy worse until it can no longer prop up the facade of wealth. When it falls, we'll see we are destitute because the ruling class has stolen all of our wealth.

Why unemployment persists: government continues to distort the capital structure from the demand structure.

The press admits it has been lying to us about economic recovery.

Great chart shows that the stock market is in a bubble and has been since the 1990s if not before to a lesser extent. The people have tried to correct it several times, but the Fed prints money to re-inflate it every time. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on which side you're on, that tactic is quickly running out of steam. The people will correct it. Maybe not in the next few months, but soon.

TAX AND SPEND:

Fraud Paul Ryan promotes raising taxes.
"House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) said he is open to revenue increases as part of a deal to reduce the deficit today, seemingly shifting positions from the hardline opposition his party has maintained against revenue growth."
This was always the plan of Republicans behind closed doors. The no taxes thing is a charade. Every spending increase is a tax increase.

Arkansas suspends the sales tax for a weekend. It's not hard to guess what happened.

Krugman attacks S&P for telling the truth in the mildest possible way.

EDUCATION:

In another example of Obama's lawlessness, he just changes the law on No Child Left Behind. This man is a monster.

Illinois university enrollment dropping. Maybe the price is way higher than the value. Maybe this will spread to every college.

HEALTH CARE:

Government puts another small food producer out of business for using fresh ingredients instead of corporate slop.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Here we have a global warming true believer calling Al Gore a prophet, manipulating people with religion again. Do you remember when people were scared of Reagan because he was religious? Reagan never talked about religion. He rarely went to church. As bad as politics and government always were, we've really debased them fast in the last few decades.

WAR:

Transcript of interview contradicting the official story of Osama bin Laden's assassination. I don't believe this any more than I believe the government's account. The only measure I have to judge by is the government has way more power and way more to gain by its self-serving story than this man has.

FOREIGN POLICY:

Israeli lobbyists are taking 20 percent of the US Congress to Israel for summer vacation.

Riots in London for the third night. Coming soon to a city near you. Riots spread across London and Britain. Some people blame cuts in government. Smarter people blame the entitlement mentality created by government.

POLITICS:

Newsweek runs hit piece on Michelle Bachmann. Obama must be scared of her, and that makes perfect sense. Liberals tend to see the world as groups of people. Obama appeals to blacks. Bachmann might appeal to women.

Talking heads keep saying that Washington is dysfunctional. This is true, but not in the way they mean. Washington is dysfunctional because both parties have been working together for decades to steal our money while putting on theater pretending to appear divided. The only divide that exists is the divide between the people and our rulers, and that divide is getting worse every day as more and more people see through the charade. The facade is crumbling, and they don't know how to deal with it.

Republicans are going to rule after another wave election. Once in power, they'll act just like Democrats and conservatives will apologize when they grow government just like they always do. Pfft.

Ron Paul polls up to 14 percent in national poll. Great news.

How true is this? Everything the US government touches turns to crap.

LOCAL:

Just the other day somebody told me that cursive writing was going the way of the dinosaur. I agreed, but I figured it was a cultural issue. Today I read local schools will no longer teach cursive.

MISC:

Back when I was in college, I saw practical demonstration of a disk that would hold data forever. Producers didn't like it because it wouldn't fail, so it never went into production. A decade or two later, another producer has produced similar quality. Let's see if this makes it to market.
