Police State

How the FBI learned to love drones.

Amidst more looting, Missouri governor declares an emergency and sets curfew to stop riots in Ferguson outside St. Louis.

Whatever the police are doing, they're not protecting businesses. Business owners with guns have to do that themselves. Black Ferguson resident asks why police don't shoot the looters.

CNN reveals address of cop who shot the victim.
"Is the media trying to get Ferguson police office Darren Wilson lynched?
CNN broadcast a report Friday that showed the house, including the street number, of the Ferguson police officer who police say shot Mike Brown. The officer has been in hiding due to death threats since the shooting last Saturday. His name, Darren Wilson, was just released Friday morning.
Another news outlet apologized for broadcasting video of Wilson’s home while others have virtually drawn a map to Wilson’s house for those bent on vengeance."
CNN is not alone.

The militarization of police is another form of blowback from never-ending wars. The transfer or military equipment is just the most visible sign of the transfer of the military's counterinsurgency mission to US police forces.
