I often write that politicians aren't like us. Here's more evidence:
"New York City Councilman Dan Halloran may be a suspect in a bribery plot to fix the upcoming mayoral election, but he also happens to be a pagan prince and leader of a heathen tribe.They're all weirdos.
Halloran, a Republican representing Queens, was arrested this week along with State Senator Malcolm Smith and charged with seeking to bribe GOP state officials to allow Smith to run on the GOP ticket in a bid to replace Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
The political scandal involving the two lawmakers put Halloran back in the limelight, reminding the public that the councilman converted in the 1980s from Catholicism to a pre-Christian Germanic religion called Theodism in which worshipers wear medieval clothes, make sacrifices to multiple gods and hold spear-throwing contests."
