Health Care

One of the rarely talked about aspects of Obamacare is that it will increase demand for health care but not the supply. As a result, doctors will either raise prices or turn away patients. This will result in a two-tier health care system similar to those found in most socialized medicine countries as rich people pay more to get high quality care and everybody else suffers with long waits and low quality care.

Obama claims that his cut of $700 billion from Medicare won't hurt Medicare recipients. I love it when he lies to transparently. He's going to get creamed for this. Seniors probably care more about Medicare than the economy, so this will hurt Obama with seniors.  A long time ago I explained what was going on here. Most Medicaid recipients vote Democrat while most Medicare recipients vote Republican. Obamacare intentionally cut Medicare in order to force more people onto Medicaid. Democrats think this will buy them votes. This is also why Ryan and Republicans want to return Medicaid to the states and cut $800 billion in Medicaid funding from the budget. But by picking Ryan for VP, Romney has forced Obama to defend the cuts, and he can't do it because he can't be honest. This whole debate is about buying votes. Neither party cares about your health care.
