Free kibbles

ECONOMY:

Unemployment officially remains at 8.2 percent.

TAX AND SPEND:

Our bankrupts federal government and bankrupt California government agree to fund a high speed rail line with money neither has. You can't make this stuff up. It's too freaking bizarre. Let's hope this project dies before it squanders a tremendous amount of resources that will never be used except to grow weeds.

FEDERAL RESERVE:

Wall Street expects QE3. Because QE1 and QE2 worked so well.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Navistar forced to spend money and resources to meet government regulations, making their engines more expensive.

WAR:

I'm happy that I'm not the only person who recognizes that nuclear weapons are the greatest deterrent to war ever created.

POLITICS:

Our voting process is broken.

MEDIA:

Now Romney's house is a compound, like they say of bad guys.

MISC:

More on the LHC and Higgs boson.
