Free kibbles

TAX AND SPEND:

Suppose the mafia shook you down for protection money then used that money to launch a satellite to Saturn. Would you feel like you advanced the human race? I hope not. APOD tells us:
"Humanity's robot orbiting Saturn has recorded yet another amazing view."
Humanity's robot? When did humanity make the decision to pay for this robot? I'm a geek. I love space travel. But I'll be damned if I want my money stolen only suffer the pretense that I supported these thefts.

We live in a sad state of expropriation in which local fire departments are dependent on the political exploitation of 9/11 victims.
"Local fire departments have come to depend on federal grants created after the 9 /11 terrorist attacks to help buy millions of dollars in equipment and hire firefighters, but chiefs said the process could become more competitive after a decrease in program funding."
You can't make this stuff up. How grotesque is government's stealing of money beyond the exploitation of 9/11 victims?

I recently wrote about how government uses wildfires to loot people, and this article tries to blame wildfires on the people who cut government spending. This shows how sick politicians and their media propagandists are.

REGULATION:

The EU orders car manufacturers to announce car crashes by 2015. Funny how that dovetails with US spy car plans. I take it back. There's nothing funny about it.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

As bad as the global warming frauds have been at exploiting weather to meet their political goals, I'm not buying Anthony Watts's proclamation that the modern warming regime ended in 1997. None of these charts proves the assertion. I emphatically ask skeptics to reject the lying techniques used by alarmists for the last two decades or more.

It's hot in the US. It's been hot in the US before. It'll be hot in the US again. This heat is no indication of global warming.

FOREIGN POLICY:

After Bilgerberger nomination, Romney plans to travel to Israel to suck up to the most powerful lobby in the US. Romney kisses more Israeli buns.

Gosh, Mexicans might have bought votes in their recent election. As if Americans never do the same.

LOCAL:

Republicans and Democrats argue over pennies per person as to whether they should be spent or not. I don't care about pennies. Abolish my income tax or admit you're no different than a Democrat.

MISC:

Scientists publish their findings in peer reviewed journals. Scientists quietly submit their works to peer review. Pseudo-scientists schedule media events. Pseudo-scientists schedule gigantic press events to engender funds their pseudo-scientific activities. I predict this press release manipulation will eventually be exposed as a farce, but the exposure of the farce will be negligible compared to the press coverage of the farce. I can't help but laugh at the media manipulation regarding "God's media" particle. This is a joke. Here's a better rendition:

Scientists quietly submit their works to peer review. Pseudo-scientists schedule media events. Pseudo-scientists schedule gigantic, press events to engender funds for their pseudo-scientific activities. I predict this press release manipulation will eventually be exposed as a farce, but the exposure of the farce will be negligible compared to the press coverage of the farce. I can't help but laugh at the media manipulation regarding "God's media" particle. This is a joke. It's all about justifying the billions government spent on CERN. The pseudo-scientists have made that clear by this pre-announcment:

"But two independent teams of physicists are cautious after decades of work and billions of dollars spent. They don’t plan to use the word “discovery.” They say they will come as close as possible to a “eureka” announcement without uttering a pronouncement as if from the scientific mountaintop."
That quote is from a couple of days ago. This is a media event, not a scientific announcement. This is a scam. This will go down as the greatest snake oil con in history. The mainstream media is suddenly calling this a "slip-up". This might go down in infamy like when the NASA scientists pretended they had found evidence of life in Martian meteorites.

Google reportedly killing iGoogle which is my homepage. I don't buy it. Google is not going to surrender its aggregation homepage tool. It might modify it to the advantage of its users,  but it's not going to get rid of it.
