Free kibbles

TAX AND SPEND:

Euro supporters win in Greece, so it looks like the looting will continue for a while longer.
"The result, however, exposed a deeply divided society, and could leave an emboldened SYRIZA leading new protests against a coalition governing with significantly less than 50 percent of the electorate's support."
There's going to be a new crisis in Greece almost immediately. You can't overcome the problems caused by looting with more looting.

HEALTH CARE:

These graphs from NPR tell the story of why we have such health care problems in the US. Americans spend far more on processed foods and sweets than we used to and spend far less on meat than we used to.
The meats in supermarkets are lower quality as well.

A quick, cheap, accurate test for gluten intolerance. I'm skeptical. This is probably designed to cover up gluten intolerance except in very bad cases.

GLOBAL WARMING:

Climate change skeptic fired for exposing fraud.
"“The facts of this case are astounding,” said David French, senior counsel for the ACLJ. “UCLA terminated a professor after 35 years of service simply because he exposed the truth about an activist scientific agenda that was not only based in fraud but violated California law for the sake of imposing expensive new environmental regulations on California businesses.” French said, “UCLA’s actions were so extreme that its own Academic Freedom Committee unanimously expressed its concern about the case.” "
Truth is treason in the empire of lies.

POLICE STATE:

Former Navy SEALs team up with protection specialists to offer a service with encryption that can defeat the NSA. I like that former Navy SEALs see the danger of our police state and want to overcome it.

The Supreme Courts support for strip searches legalizes rape by police.

FOREIGN POLICY:

Egyptian military takes control of Egyptian elections. This is what happens when people try to replace one criminal ruling class with another. Just a year ago Egyptians thought the military was their protectors. Not any more.

The return of kings in the Balkans.

POLITICS:

Ron Paul wins Iowa.

LOCAL:

Sure, government pays lip service to cutting spending, and officials symbolically freeze wages, but then they turn around and pay huge bonuses.

MISC:

Failed states. Since the state exists to loot the people and enrich the ruling class, I think they all wildly succeed.
