Free kibbles

HEALTH CARE:

Mark Steyn hits another one out of the park.
"No, the most basic issue here is not religious morality, individual liberty or fiscal responsibility. It's that a society in which middle-age children of privilege testify before the most powerful figures in the land to demand state-enforced funding for their sex lives at a time when their government owes more money than anyone has ever owed in the history of the planet is quite simply nuts."
Nuts it is.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Government subsidized light bulb costs $50.00.

POLICE STATE:

Penn State's trustees are still trying to justify firing Joe Paterno. The Paterno family gets it right:
"In a statement issued by its attorney, the Paterno family said it is "surprised and saddened" that the trustees offered another explanation of its reasons for firing the Hall of Fame coach, calling it "yet another attempt ... to deflect criticism of their leadership by trying to focus the blame on Joe Paterno.""
The trustees can never justify making Paterno a scapegoat like that. And all of this happened because of two grandstanding politicians.

Taxpayer funded criminals. I bet the town that abolished its police force becomes the safest in the country.

WAR:

Pentagon's heat ray has only seriously injured two people during testing. It sounds like a microwave oven.

The Onion gets it right again: Could the use of flying death robots be hurting America's reputation worldwide?

First we had Chalibi laying about Iraq to get the US to invade. Then we had some guy lying about casualties in Libya to get NATO to support the rebels. Now we have people lying about casualties in Syria in hopes of getting NATO support.

POLITICS:

Gingrich sends up a trial balloon of a Gingrich-Perry ticket in an attempt to win over evangelicals.
