Free kibbles

FASCISM:

Here's a reminder of how government corrupts businesses by making requests they can't refuse: the UK government asks Google and ISPs to become the copyright police.

ECONOMY:

As the government grows, the US poverty rate climbs above 15 percent.

Graphic of world's biggest employers. The Department of Defense is number one. It's much larger than the Chinese army.

TAX AND SPEND:

More on the political battle brewing over President Obama's new stimulus boondoggle. Obama pretends to believe in the childish maxim, if at first you don't succeed try, try again as opposed to Einstein's observation that repeating the same thing over and over expecting a different result is insane. Obama is using this plan to try and convince voters that Republicans are responsible for the bad economy. I don't think they'll fall for it, but voters re-elected FDR three times.

Most people think our elected representatives write laws with us in mind. We're born and bred to believe that the people we vote for are looking our for our best interests. That's a child's fantasy that adults must overcome. Laws are written by lobbyists and staffers who are owned by the lobbyists. For example:
"Nearly 5,400 congressional staffers have left the Hill for K Street over the past decade, according to a new study by LegiStorm, a non-partisan organization that tracks Congress and sells some of that data."
"The organization also found that of about 14,000 current staffers, 605 have lobbied in the past decade. The study analyzed the records of 130,000 people who have worked on K Street or the Hill."
How much more clear do I need to make it? Government exists for the sole purpose of looting the people and protecting the looter from us.

HEALTH CARE:

In another reminder that the FDA exists to protect Big Ag, Big Pharma and the medical establishment from competition and consequently works to make Americans sick, the FDA is planning to effectively ban a huge number of nutritional supplements.

Psychiatric drugs seem to be making mental illness worse.

WAR:

You know how the propagandists keep telling us about all the success our troops are having in Afghanistan? Then how come the Taliban is attacking our embassy in Kabul? If this is their idea of success, I'd hate to see their idea of failure.

In 1999 Ron Paul explained on the floor of the House of Representatives that our actions in Iraq promoted Islamic radicals to respond with terrorist attacks against us.

FOREIGN POLICY:

I tried to share this link through Google+ twice, and both times it was censored. Here's the embedded video, but don't be surprised it if disappears too.

POLITICS:

Funny how the press is tauting Bachmann's attack on Perry for his Gardasil order when she copied it from Ron Paul who used it in the last debate and an attack ad which the press ignored. USA Today does the same thing. The press is suddenly pulling for Bachmann. The Houston Chronicle gives Paul credit for taking on Perry on taxes, debt, growing government and Gardasil.

Boortz praises Ron Paul for explaining the reason Muslims hate us. It's hard to reconcile this praise with Boortz's support for Romney.

MEDIA:

Rush Limbaugh says Ron Paul should join the Democrats. I bet Obama disagrees. God forbid somebody like Taft, Eisenhower, Nixon or Paul try to extract us from wars. And yeah, I mentioned Nixon.

LOCAL:

Local school district does what every government entity does when faced with reduced tax revenues: threatens voters with the most scary, draconian cuts it can come up with.
"eliminating teachers, programs and busing while increasing classroom sizes student activity fees"
You might notice that eliminating bureaucrats and down-sizeing schools wasn't on that list.
