FASCISM:

In another example of classic fascism, Dept. of Energy representatives sat in on Solyndra's board meetings. Why aren't the American people up in arms at these fascist tactics our government is using against us? This also shows the futility, of government oversight. Government oversight doesn't protect the people. Government protects its corporate partners.
"And yet, and yet, not only did the White House have access to industry reports, they actually had a seat in Solyndra’s board room while the meltdown was in progress. Question one: How is it that, with the buzzards circling, Solyndra was still allowed torefinance its federal loan earlier this year to extend the term of repayment? And question two: If the White House knew firsthand that the company was in trouble, why’d they let the CEO waltz into Congress two months ago and reassure House members that everything was A-OK with the business?"
This is a great reminder that government exists to loot the people and protect the looters from us. I'm sure Solyndra's management donated heavily to Obama and Democrats so the government would loot us on their behalf, and it did, and it covered it up as always.

ECONOMY:

I'm all for tax cuts of any kind, temporary or permanent. But stealing money from people to pay others to not work is self-defeating. It increases spending, taking that money from the private sector and wasting it in the parasitic political economy. That'll destroy wealth, not create it, dragging our economy down further. Boortz does a good job distilling out the political aspects of Obama's plan, though he's wrong about Obama's dedication to reducing regulations. He's doing the same to regulations that he did with spending, dramatically increasing them, then promising tiny cuts from this new high level so he can pretend he wants to cut spending and regulations.

Robert Murphy uses a mischievous gnome thought experiment to explain how inflation perverts the capital structure, causing a recession.

Politicians' focus on jobs is counter-productive for the economy. The economy should be focused on creating wealth. Jobs will follow.
"Instead of praising jobs for their own sake, we should ask why employment is so important. The answer is, because we exist amidst economic scarcity and must work to live and prosper. That's why we should be of good cheer only when we learn that this employment will produce things people actually value, i.e., are willing to buy with their own hard-earned money. And this is something that can only be done in the free market, not by bureaucrats and politicians."
Well said.

Once again the so-called experts are surprised at job losses.

REGULATION:

Congress has changed the patent system to a first to file instead of a first to invent rule. So much for the baloney about patents protecting inventors. Since big corporations have significantly more resource to file patents, this is a big gain for them and a blow to the small inventor. This is also boosts the government over the inventor since filing is now important than inventing. What else would you expect from government?

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Only 24 percent of likely voters consider Al Gore an expert on global warming.

Economic growth makes the environment cleaner because people prioritize taking care of their families before a clean environment.

WAR:

Pat Buchanan blasts Bush over his wars.

POLITICS:

Yet another politician convicted of corruption. The're all corrupt.

Claim that by grabbing and trying intimidate Ron Paul, Rick Perry made him a contender. Let's hope the polls bear that out. Paul's attack on Perry is the kind of ad libertarians have long wanted. It's about time somebody went on the offensive against these pretend small government supporters. Prediction that Perry inspired another huge Ron Paul money bomb.

I never thought Bachmann would last, she can't even run a congressional office, let alone a presidential campaign not to mention the US government. But I don't expect her to quit this soon. Hopefully she'll be out before the first vote is cast, but I wouldn't be surprised to see her limp along until Iowa. She personally covets the presidency, and she won the Iowa straw poll.

MISC:

Scientists claim they can use magnets to force people to either lie or tell the truth depending on placement.
