GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

The implications of Democrats' rebranding global warming - climate change to global climate disruption:
"George Orwell understood the importance of controlling the terms of political debate, and predicted this level of Newspeak long before John Holdren joined with Paul Ehrlich to demand the U.S. ‘de-develop,’ a Newspeak way of calling for a return to medieval life.

But this one is a real beaut. Climate change, which morphed into ‘global warming’ for political reasons and later re-emerged after the globe stubbornly refused to warm fast enough, is now climate disruption.
What this means is that any unusual event–or even usual events, like walruses showing up on Alaskan beaches, which they do every year–can be called climate disruption in action, and blamed on human activity.

We are fulfilling Orwellian requirements in other respects as well: Cameras everywhere, recording everything (including dust devils that can inflate tornado statistics)? Check. Intrusive software following us around? Check. A devaluing of the English language to suit political objectives? Double check."
They guys aren't dumb. They are experts at manipulating and lying in order to steal ever more money and power from us. Don't be fooled.

Now they're trying to say that scientific consensus varies with cultural views. Wrong. It depends on whether or not the view of the scientist is honest or a politically motivated lie. Scientists are humans too with normal human weaknesses, easily corrupted by the stolen money and power of government.

POLICE STATE:

Swedish prosecutors say Julian Assange is free to leave Sweden because of lack of evidence for rape charges. Assange says two Swedish intelligence agents told him his arrest was at the behest of US intelligence.

WAR:

I've often said we're turning into the Soviet Union, and fast. I'm not the only one who recognizes this:
"The U.S. economy increasingly resembles the dual economy of the Soviet Union, with an overfunded military sector and a chronically weak, dysfunctional civilian sector. Like the Soviet Union in its decline, we are bogged down in an unwinnable conflict in Afghanistan. The Soviet system was supported to the end, however, by Soviet military and intelligence personnel and defense factory workers and managers. Their equivalents exist in America. Conservatives are not being irrational, when they ignore the civilian economy while fostering the military economy that provides orders and jobs to many of their constituents. Theirs is the logic of Soviet-style conservatism."
If we don't end it voluntarily, change directions from our march down the road to serfdom and return to the path of freedom, we're going to suffer tremendously.

POLITICS:

The supposedly post-racial president called on black voters to come out in mass to stop Republicans from sweeping in November. This is explicitly designed to segregate the country. I really hope the people who voted for this evil man the first time have finally figured out how stupid they were.

MISC:

Australian government sues broadband provider for throttling down users who surpass their bandwidth quotas.

  1. Looks like Holdren has inspired a new business model: carbon credits for abortions.
