SOCIALISM:

The unbelievable story of the runaway Prius in California has been debunked. Recorders in the vehicle showed the accelerator had been depressed 250 times during the incident. Was this staged? I'd like to see an investigation of this guy's contacts with government agents including GM employees.

ECONOMY:

More on the gold vending machine.

"On Wednesday, a hotel in Abu Dhabi unveiled the GOLD To Go ATM, a gold dispensing vending machine created by a German firm. The machine dispenses 24-carat gold bars in 1, 5, and 10 gram sizes as well as gold coins. A computer inside the machine keeps track of the gold price in real time and updates updates it every ten minutes. The machine itself sports a gold leaf finish. There are plans to install 200 more machines in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland."

As more of these enter the market, the price will fall and they'll add silver which is much more convenient for everyday transactions. Remember when people made millions by buying ATMs? The same opportunity exists here at least until the government outlaws them - and it will. We're repeating the Great Depression.

TAX AND SPEND:

Portugal levies crisis tax on corporations and wages because of its debt problem. This will drive Portugal's economy into the tank, making the problem worse.

At least New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie knows how to cut spending and lower taxes. New Jersey will benefit from these cuts.

As governments continue to steal from their people and give the loot to the banks, violence has spread from Greece to Romania and Ireland.

Anybody who thinks that the financial problems and resulting violence in Greece can't happen here is delusional.

Cato proposes that Republicans offer much bigger cuts in their YouCut choices. I wholeheartedly agree. Put the Dept. of Education there.

REGULATION:

Dodd's financial regulation bill would snoop on how Americans spend their money.

""If you can link the data to courthouse records of housing sales," he said, then anyone can find data on others. "Much of this goes beyond what banks do now" to keep data. Under the new law, the government would detail "your charges at Macy's and car payments. It would be fairly detailed information."

Another problem, he added, is that the law "is extremely vague and empowering of the regulators. You as a consumer will have no opportunity to opt out. They'll be collecting, anyway, and you won't even know."

He noted laws on the books made illegal what Bernard Madoff did in his massive Ponzi scheme; and that the Securities and Exchange Commission repeatedly had been tipped off to Madoff, yet did nothing. So, no new laws are needed, just enforcement of existing fraud laws."

HEALTH CARE

Obamacare has already cost the US economy at least $4.5 billion, yet Obama calls it a success.

"Already, businesses small and large are warning of the ill effects of the law's changes to the tax code. In order to generate the nearly $1 trillion necessary to pay for the law, its authors scoured the tax code looking to squeeze out more money whereever possible. And sure enough, within a few days of its passage, a handful of big companies took tax write downs in response to changes in the tax treatment of an existing drug subsidy. An estimate by Credit Suisse puts the total damage across the economy at around $4.5 billion—with $1 billion coming from AT&T alone."

That's a success for Obama's plan to destroy America.

GLOBAL WARMING:

Global warming frauds claim increases in CO2, plant food, will harm crops. This is complete bull****. We know for the last 30 years, crops yields in general have been increasing and bio-diversity around the planet has exploded because of increasing CO2. This is a crock.

WAR:

This fantastic cartoon lampooning New York police for overreacting to non-threats shows just how badly we've reacted to the war on terror to our detriment.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION:

Nancy Pelosi says what we all knew - she wants amnesty for illegal aliens.

Town in New York requires all business to be conducted in English. This is stupid. It turns American citizens and legal immigrants who prefer to speak Spanish into criminals. It creates a black market in the Spanish language. Black markets always breed violent and non-violent crime. Making the language of government English makes sense because it stops people from suing the government to accommodate them, but using the government's gun to tell people what language to use is stupid and dangerous.

I got your solution to illegal immigration right here. First, end the war on drugs. Transporting drugs is far more lucrative than transporting people. The illegal immigrants piggy-back on the drug trade.  Nullify the federal government's unconstitutional power grab over securing the borders. According to the tenth amendment, that job belongs to the states and the people. Privatize border security. Empower citizens to repulse trespassers. Increase the number of legal work permits.

POLITICS:

Anti-incumbent fever is growing. After 10 years of the Bush/Obama administration, what would you expect?

Obama nominates another Marxist to run a government bureaucracy. This isn't news. Get back to me when Obama nominates somebody who isn't a Marxist. That'll be news.

Obama the punisher. What would you expect from a person who revels in stomping the government's boot on the necks of the people in the private sector?

Adding the awesome list of Obama lies, now Obama's budget director says Obama never pledged not to raise taxes, he said he preferred not to raise taxes. The lies don't bother me nearly as much as the expectation that he will get away with them, and he's right. Liberals don't care about Obama's lies any more than conservatives cared about Bush's lies. That's why all of our politicians are liars - we don't make them pay for it.

People with graduate schooling overwhelmingly support Obama. I'm happy to be in the other category. This is a product of the liberal bias of universities.

Democrats are trying to rig a vote in Puerto Rico so it will vote for statehood. Why is Puerto Rico part of the US? Cut it loose.

After spending a year and a half blaming every problem in American on George Bush and Republicans, Obama slams oil companies for playing blame game. I can't help but laugh.

LOCAL:

Not a day goes by when I don't read about a fire or two in the local paper. I can't imagine this is normal. I didn't notice it a year ago. Either people are burning down buildings for insurance money or our declining society is producing a serious degradation of fire safety.

MISC:

Government will abuse statistics it reports about how fat kids are the same way it abuses every other statistic it reports. If this is a pressing need, the private sector already does it better, cheaper and more honestly.

In eerily eugenics-like fashion, Israelis advocating policies that would reduce births of Ethiopian immigrants and survival rates of newborn Palestinians.

Where did the New York Times get the idea that Robin Hood was supposed to be a socialist? He was against oppressive government, lived free on the king's land and stole from the looters.

I thought I had heard that hay was already being used to clean up the oil spill.
