Free kibbles

Good for Tom Daschle for withdrawing from consideration for Sec. of Health and Human Services after he got busted as a tax cheat. Of course he only did it under pressure, not because it was the right thing to do. This is a rare and memorable exception to the rule that Democrats almost never resign when they get busted. Too bad Obama didn't have enough principles to withdraw Daschle's nomination. Same with Geithner. Another Obama tax cheat withdraws. Congratulations to the people for finally holding 2 Democrats accountable for their corruption. We should do every time.

Obama's nomination process is turning into a nightmare for Democrats. I don't remember any president nominating so many corrupt people. Not even Clinton. I heard Obama tried to nominate John Gotti until he found out Gotti was dead. Unfortunately Geithner, Clinton, and Rahm Emanuel escaped despite their corruption. To a guy like Obama who has spent his political career immersed in big time Chicago corruption, this petty, pervasive corruption in Washington is nothing to him. He doesn't understand why anybody is making a big deal about it. Maybe with all the tax cheats Obama's bringing into the spotlight, the people would get the idea to dump our complicated and destructive income tax and adopt the FairTax.

Obama nominates Republican who once voted to abolish the Commerce Dept. to head Commerce Dept. I would like to think that that means Obama wants to abolish the Commerce Dept., but somehow I don't think so.

Obama says he's concerned that terrorists freed from Guantanamo might attack the US, but he's going to close Guantanamo anyway and that it will make us more secure to have these terrorists attacking us than imprisoned. So Obama knows he's risking the lives of Americans by shutting down Guantanamo while we're still at war, and he's fine with that. But he also gives the doublespeak that it will make us safer to have these terrorists free to attack us. Orwell would be proud.

Obama is banking his reelection on this stimulus bill. Obama thinks he needs to spend $1 trillion of taxpayer's money to buy enough votes to get reelected, or it won't happen. Given that his policies are going to tank our economy, he's probably right. That should be all the reason Republicans need to block this bill. Let alone that the bill is bad for the country.

Now that the election is over and Obama's providing cover for every corrupt Democrat in Washington, Chris Dodd releases papers about his sweetheart mortgage deal.

2 Marxists in a pod: Obama to meet with Chavez in April. Bill Ayers already laid the ground work for this meeting when he visited Chavez to talk about his and Obama's shared vision for Marxist revolution through education reform.

Australia to consider having government remove fat kids from homes. This is another case of big government begetting ever more totalitarian government. When parents pay for the health care of their children, this obesity epidemic will turn around.

Italy rigs red light cameras to fraudulently catch drivers. Have I ever mentioned that government doesn't have our best interests at heart? Have I ever mentioned that every power we give to government, no matter how well intentioned, government turns around and use against us? Yes I have.

Iran's domestic satellite launch shows Iran has the capability to land a missile anywhere in the world. Yikes.
