Free kibbles

The Bali nightclub bombers were executed. Good riddance.

New Hampshire police use mobile DUI unit and police from 6 agencies to stop 480 drivers and arrest 8. I hope the other 472 file a class action suit and suit the crap out of the New Hampshire for harassment.

How funny. Now that they have succeeded in getting their chosen one elected, the Washington Post admits it was biased in favor of Obama. Their internal analysis showed they were biased for the entire year examined, just as outside analysts had discovered. On Mike McConnell's radio show today, he kind of lampooned them for waiting a year, until Obama was elected, to notice they were biased. But he didn't point out the obvious - they knew they were biased all along. It was their intention to be biased to insure Obama won the election, and they succeeded.

This admission is just an attempt by the Post to stop the bleeding. Their revenues dropped 86 percent this Q3, and now they're trying to convince readers that, since they are acknowledging their bias, that readers can trust them again. But their priorities are clear. Electing Obama was priority one. Making money is priority 2. Honest reporting is significantly lower. What a crock.

Pelosi and Reid pressure Paulson to send some of the $700 billion bailout to automakers. Welcome to America the needy. After 100 years of socialism, 8 years of Bush socialism, and 4 up coming years of Obama's even more socialism, we're going to be the land of the meek and the home of the people with their hands out.

2008 turnout was almost exactly the same as 2004 turnout. Contrary to the press' breathless fawning over Obama's success and how he changed the electorate, the reason Obama won was because blacks came out for him in droves compared to Kerry and conservatives stayed home instead of voting for McCain. The biggest story of this election is that despite Obama's tremendous natural advantages - his race, anti-Bush sentiment, anti-Republican sentiment, McCain's terrible campaign, etc. Obama didn't move the electorate any more than John Kerry.

In Obama's first press conference as president-elect, he insults Nancy Reagan about conducting seances. So this is how it's going to be? Why in the world would he attack Nancy Reagan? At least he called her and apologized after the fact, but this shows us more about his character and intelligence, as if we needed more insight into his character.

Robert Novak suggests Gingrich leads the field for 2012.

Lack of understanding of history and economics by young voters lifted Obama to the presidency.

Author calls for ousting big-government, pork-loving Republican Mitch McConnell as Senate Minority Leader. Agreed.

Jonah Goldberg wonders why we make it so easy for uninformed people to vote. So do I. Voting should not be as easy as ordering a pizza. Very early voting should not be allowed. Who knows what will happen between the time a voter casts his or her vote and election day. We have to accommodate people who have good reason to be unable to vote in their assigned polling place on election day, but nobody else. And people should have to register in advance every election to show they're paying attention. If they aren't paying enough attention to the process to register in advance, they don't get to vote.

Michael Barone explains that Obama's abuse of the system, purposely disabling the address checking system for donors so he could rake in millions in illegal campaign contributions, increased his margin of victory. He also promoted voter registration fraud through ACORN. We have documented instances of voter fraud for Obama here in Ohio, and I'm sure other states have it as well. Obama's margin of victory would have been much smaller if he hadn't engaged in such fraudulent behavior and been given a pass by the media. This is a cloud that will follow him into office. The most interesting aspect of this election is that despite all this fraud, Obama's natural advantages, and McCain's natural disadvantages, this election was so close.

Genetically modified switchgrass grows plastic in leaves. What happens when this escapes into the wild, as genetically modified plants always do? The unintended consequences could be dramatic.

Skin color map for indigenous people. Makes sense to me.

Nick Gillespie submits 3 predictions about an Obama presidency. As obvious as they are, that Republicans will pretend they support small government and Democrats will forget they ever wanted to limit the powers of the presidency, that conservatives will once again fire up culture wars and Democrats will either jump on board or do nothing to stop them, and that phony partisanship will continue to dominate politics, they're very well articulated and appropriately fatalistic.
