The article fails to mention that recently a VT student got in trouble for exercising his natural right to be armed on campus. Students at other universities in Virgina, recognizing the danger from unchecked mentally ill students, have petitioned the state for the right to be armed on campus, and been rejected. Students and faculty want to exercise their right to carry, and those are the same people who could have stopped the murderer. And you can carry in a backpack, so the bulging clothes argument is just silly.
