Local

During this artificial boom, condos continue to sell downtown, but this article intentionally fails to mention they're subsidized. This will all change when the bust hits.

Butler County social workers strike. Fire them so they can't do any more damage.

I wonder how much tax money was spent protecting this 160 year old abandoned home.
"In the next two weeks workers will finish a $24,000 exterior renovation, sandblasting white paint that covers the exterior brickwork. Trim is being repaired and repainted and the windows re-glazed."
That's just the tip of the iceberg.
"MetroParks in 2009 paid $558,758 for the property that included 104 acres and the house. The state’s Clean Ohio fund paid for $419,068 of the total."
There we go. $5,000 an acre doesn't sound like a bad price, but it was stolen money. I bet this was in tax arrears.
