Minimum wage laws are not compassionate. They are evil. Minimum wage laws serve exactly one purpose and that is to buy votes for Democrats. Democrats use the laws to steal money from employers and use that money to buy votes. Democrats are buying votes with other people's money. They don't have to raise taxes to do it. This is why the political push for minimum wage laws never goes away despite how evil and damaging they are.
