Police State

A Georgia cop has issued 800 tickets to drivers for texting at red lights. He admits safety is not his concern.

Man arrested for speaking out against Common Core standard at town hall meeting. Public outrage caused the prosecutor to drop the charges.

NSA owns Google, so this marketing ploy about encrypting searches just enhances NSA's claims to care about privacy. It does nothing to protect searches from NSA, to whom Google serves them up on a platter. Every commenter is just as skeptical.

I have no idea who the Internet Society is - it sounds pretty pretentious to me - so I'm skeptical of their concerns about NSA spying. This could easily be a front to convince people NSA is OK later.
