The press wants us to believe that Americans support NSA spying, but if that were true, politicians of both parties wouldn't be questioning it. Of course this is blatant hypocrisy. Everybody in Congress knew about this spying. Maybe they just realized all their communications are being monitored too. Or more likely they see an opportunity to get out from under NSA blackmail.
