Free kibbles

FREEDOM OF SPEECH:

Principle orders student write an apology to Kansas governor for rude statement. Apparently they don't teach freedom of speech in Kansas.
"A Brownback staffer had notified the principal, she said."
Nothing like a little intimidation from the governor to destroy free speech rights. How did the governor find out about this? Does he have somebody monitoring all twitter accounts? Or is DHS monitoring them, and did it notify the governor?

Open source, distributed software seeks to take the power away from corporate search engines.

ECONOMY:

Have you ever thought that the US population in general is clueless? Here's a little something to back that up:
"Half of Americans hit the shops as US stocks record worst week since the Great Depression"
And we wonder why we have the outrageously terrible government we have.

FEDERAL RESERVE:

Remember when Americans were outraged that Congress stole $700 billion from us to bail out Wall Street? Now we know that the Fed stole $7.77 trillion, over ten times as much, for the same purpose. It's important to realize that both parties support this invisible theft. Bush appointed Bernanke. Obama re-appointed Bernanke. The two parties are partners in stealing us blind. They play a game of divide and conquer in front of the cameras, arguing over trivial baloney, but behind the scene they lock arms, steal our money, sing Kumbaya and laugh all the way to the bank with the hookers, pot and cocaine they buy with our tax dollars.
"Some figure that the Fed was just doing its job. “Supporting financial-market stability in times of extreme market stress is a core function of central banks,” says William B. English, director of the Fed’s Division of Monetary Affairs. “Our lending programs served to prevent a collapse of the financial system and to keep credit flowing to American families and businesses.”Phillip Swagel, a professor of international economic policy at the University of Maryland, says the Fed got it right and should be praised.
Then why was the Fed and the banks so tight-lipped about this whole operation?
Maybe because not only did the bailout let the beat go on for the big banks, but has allowed the banks to get even bigger. Total assets held by the six biggest U.S. banks increased 39 percent to $9.5 trillion on Sept. 30, 2011, from $6.8 trillion on the same day in 2006, according to Fed data."
Oh yeah. That's getting it right if by getting it right you mean robbing Americans into poverty to enrich the banksters. But that's why the Fed was created, so in that sense, it did get it right. The Rockefellers and Gettys would be proud.

EDUCATION:

Maybe kids wouldn't need to be vaccinated if they were breast fed like they're supposed to be and then not forced like cattle into government indoctrination centers.

HEALTH CARE:

For years I have frequently warned about the danger of DNA documentation. Sure, there are benefits, but the dangers are obscene. Here's an example:
""A Dutch researcher has created a virus with the potential to kill half of the planet's population. Now, researchers and experts in bioterrorism debate whether it is a good idea to publish the virus creation 'recipe'. However, several voices argue that such research should have not happened in the first place. The virus is a strain of avian influenza H5N1 genetically modified to be extremely contagious ... created by researcher Ron Fouchier of the Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam, Netherlands. The work was first presented at a conference dedicated to influenza, that took place in September in Malta"
The capacity to destroy grows tremendously faster than the capacity to heal.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Canada to withdraw from Kyoto protocol. Smart.

POLICE STATE:

Senate to vote to empower the president to use the military to imprison anybody in the world in any place in the world on his own authority, including American citizens in America. Remember when liberals pretended they didn't like Bush imprisoning foreigners indefinitely? They don't care when Obama imprisons Americans indefinitely. Remember when conservatives pretended to support the Constitution? They don't care either.

WAR:

The more we hear about this NATO attack on Pakistani forces, the worse it sounds.
"The NATO airstrikes that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers lasted almost two hours and continued even after Pakistani commanders had pleaded with coalition forces to stop, the army claimed Monday in charges that could further inflame anger in Pakistan."
Most Americans realize nothing good can come from this war in Afghanistan, but let's hope more realize it now and we can end it. Orwell would be proud of this part:
"NATO has described the incident as "tragic and unintended" and has promised a full investigation."
They unintentionally bombed those bases for two hours.

POLITICS:

Corrupt Barney Frank is retiring thanks to redistricting. Who says nothing good comes from redistricting?

The DNC runs ads that show why Romney is the least electable of the Republican candidates.
"The DNC's ad, "Mitt vs. Mitt", depicts Romney making claims both supporting and opposing abortion rights, and also shows him saying he's "glad to hear" the president talking up the health care policy he helped enact in Massachusetts when he was governor there."
This isn't rocket science. Mitt has supported Democrat policies his entire political career, and his phony pretense otherwise makes him a loser. In fact, the establishment's support of Romney stinks of conspiracy to re-elect Obama.

Ron Paul is poised to win Iowa.

Top 10 reasons why the mafia is superior to the state.

LOCAL:

County commissioners may ban camping at Courthouse Square in response to the aggression of the Occupy Dayton people. I hope my article influenced this decision. It's sad that these enemies of private property are just realizing the meaning of property rights. The sooner we take away government's power over property, the sooner well enjoy the tremendous wealth, health and security that government destroys. The ironic part is that the Occupiers and the government are on the same side in destroying property rights, but the failure of both to realize it have put them in conflict.

Beavercreek voters rejected new education taxes twice in 2011. Naturally, the education bureaucrats bowed to the will of the people and cut the most gratuitous programs. Ha! Who am I kidding. Instead, they propose another tax levy in 2012. Do you notice how, however often the people reject the growth of government, the government always comes back and pushes for more until it gets it? And once it gets it, it pushes for even more until it gets that? And so on? Never do people incrementally reduce government election after election. This is a perfect example of how, no matter what we want or destructive government is, it continues to grow because that advances the personal, economic interests of the people who work for government and those who profit from government.

State government is stealing $750,000 from taxpayers and handing it over to a developer in Dayton to develop an office building. This is corporate welfare like any other. If this investment made sense for the people of Dayton, this developer would fund it himself.

MISC:

In another example of how government corrupts everything it touches, DMV employees busted for selling identities.
