Free kibbles

WAR:

Obama overruled Justice Department and Pentagon lawyers on Libya.
"The president relied instead on the opinions of other senior administration lawyers that continuing U.S. participation in the air operations against the regime of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi did not constitute "hostilities," triggering the need for Congressional permission under the War Powers Resolution, the New York Times reported in its online edition Friday night."
Obama thinks there's nothing hostile about killing people as long as he's doing the killing. Like Hayek informed us, the bigger government gets, the worse people rise to the top. This is going to make the Libyan war even more unpopular.

Afghan President Karzai says his government and US forces are in peace negotiations with the Taliban and they are going well. Let's hope so.

POLICE STATE:

One man's story of learning about the police state in person.

We read lots of news stories intended to make us think Muslims are barbarians. I doubt this story will get the same kind of coverage.
"Courts hear some strange cases but this one takes the biscuit (perhaps literally) - paranoid judges at a strict Jewish court have sentenced a stray dog to death by stoning as they believe it is possessed with the spirit of an unruly ex-lawyer."
Barbarians can be found anywhere.

POLITICS:

Obama isn't doing himself any favors by drawing attention to how much golf he plays by teeing it up with Boehner. But he doesn't care. That's what the American people don't understand. Obama's having the time of life playing emperor of the world. He doesn't give a damn what anybody else thinks unless it threatens his position. He's so narcissistic, he thinks he mesmerize enough voters in 2012 to win again despite whatever he does up to then.

Ron Paul wins another conservative straw poll.

MISC:

This supposed nuclear bomb detector that runs on a small fusion reactor sounds like a hoax.

Praise for The Syndic.
