This hearing over whether or not Boeing is allowed to move a facility from a union state to a right-to-work state is a travesty.
"The complaint by NLRB acting general counsel Lafe Solomon accused Boeing Co. of illegally retaliating against union workers for past strikes by adding a non-union assembly line for its new 787 passenger jet in South Carolina. The NLRB said Boeing also should move that assembly work to unionized plants in Washington state, where other 787s are assembled."These unions want the government to give them ownership of Boeing.
"The government's complaint alleges that company executives made repeated statements to Boeing employees and the media citing the union's past strike activity and the possibility of future strikes as the overriding factors in deciding to locate a second line in South Carolina."Good for them. Union members need to understand that coercion has consequences and one of those consequences is businesses will move production to right-to-work states, ultimately costing union members their jobs.
ECONOMY:
I don't know if Obama is this economically illiterate or he thinks we are, but he blames automation, capital, for unemployment.
It looks like the law school bubble has burst. Who would have thought government schools could churn out lawyers faster than it churns out abusive laws?
The economy is crashing despite Bernanke and Obama's theft. Don't get fooled.
Vaulted London firm predicts gold to reach $5,000.
The truth sucks for government-lovers.
"In fact, the size and scope of the "recovery" of the past two years was weaker than would have been expected in a typical business cycle recovery without any stimulus whatsoever. Indeed our current recovery is the weakest on record, despite the biggest jolt of government stimulus ever administered."This is no surprise to honest people who work for a living.
You might have noticed that government's prolific spending has made it impossible for most of us to retire.
TAX AND SPEND:
California Democrats vote to continue unsustainable tax and spend policies without a single Republican vote. It's a shame they made their partners in crime look so good.
This article claims that the debate on the debt limit was down to the wire. If only this was true. It would mean that if Republicans held out another day, the government would stop looting us so much. What a crock. This is pure politics. Not facts. Don't fall for it.
REGULATION:
Another great observation:
"If your goal were to foster more political cronyism, reward lobbyists, entrench incumbents, and enrich the politically connected, you would have a hard time crafting a more useful piece of legislation than the Dodd-Frank financial regulation bill."That's always government's goal.
EDUCATION:
School rescinds suspension of student for oregano. How magnanimous of them.
HEALTH CARE:
Childhood diseases returning. Article blames failure of parents to vaccinate children, but that's simplistic. The government controls the vaccines. Because of that, they're lower quality than they should be. Vaccines are also mandated, which generates a backlash. If there was a free market in vaccines, they would be higher quality and more people would trust them and use them. Also, the government pushes an unhealthy diet that makes us all more susceptible to disease.
Lifespan falls in hundreds of US counties.
"The researchers believe problems like smoking and obesity are partly to blame."Smoking. Right. People have smoked for 400 years, fewer smoke now than ever, but suddenly it's decreasing lifespan? What a joke. The obesity caused by the government's diet and control of our food supply matters. Government control of our health care system matters. This is another example of the decivilizing effect of government.
GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:
California eco-loons to ban prospecting for gold to save the salmon. I love salmon, but by the once, I prefer gold.
POLICE STATE:
Government investigation of government agents who gunned down a man in his own home called the murder justified. Imagine that.
Senate bill to make uploading lip-synched videos illegal.
Another warning of a false-flag cyber-attack.
WAR:
Pakistani officials arrest CIA informants. This shows that our government's contention that Pakistan knew nothing of bin Laden or the raid is a lie.
Apparently cyber-warfare is the new Cold War.
Ten Congressmen file suit against Obama for war in Libya. This is how bizarre our government as become. It's like little kids fighting with each other, the but the stakes are real people dying and trillions of dollars being stolen from us. Congress long ago surrendered its power to declare war to the president, and he took it. And Congress isn't willing to impeach Obama to take it back, so like whiny children then go to mommy court and sue the president. Our government has turned our country into the laughing stock of the world, and we have nobody to blame but ourselves.
"The law stipulates that, absent congressional authorization, a military withdrawal from a conflict must be initiated within 60 days and completed within 90 days. The latter limit will be reached on Sunday."It seems to me a vote of authorization has to be a declaration of war. Under the Constitution, how can it be anything else? If so, it makes the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq legal, and that changes everything. I need to read more about this. Obama defends his war as legal. Obama claims he doesn't need Congress's approval to wage war against Libya.
"But the White House argued that the activities of United States military forces in Libya do not amount to full-blown “hostilities” at the level necessary to involve the section of the War Powers Resolution that imposes the deadline."
"“We are not saying the president can take the country into war on his own,” Mr. Koh said. “We are not saying the War Powers Resolution is unconstitutional or should be scrapped, or that we can refuse to consult Congress. We are saying the limited nature of this particular mission is not the kind of ‘hostilities’ envisioned by the War Powers Resolution.”"So the president claims he gets to define how many people he can kill without consulting Congress. The ultimate power of a despot is the power to murder others on his own orders.
"In Kosovo, however, Congress appropriated specific funds for the mission before 60 days had passed. The Clinton administration decided that by providing the money, Congress had satisfied the requirements of the War Powers Resolution."That's baloney. Obama announces he will continue murdering people without congressional authority and by doing so dares Congress to impeach him. They won't. He wishes. Heres's a more accurate view:
"Taking a page from Bill Clinton's playbook, Obama dares Congress to impeach him over using US forces to murder people. Conrgress has declared itself impotent, and will do no such thing.
It would be comical if it didn't involve murdering people. It's not even tragic. It's just murder most mundane."
I can't imagine how people like Clinton, Bush and Obama smile and laugh in front of the camera while the military is killing people in their name. Some would call this the mettle of a leader. I would call it the sadism, psychopathy or sociopathy of the ultimate politician. Like Lincoln.
POLITICS:
Newt Gingrich suddenly sounds like Ron Paul talking about the Fed. Mitt Romney suddenly sounds like Ron Paul talking about Afghanistan. Ron Paul may not win the nomination, but he's definitely winning the war of ideas to our benefit. The only problem is the rest of the candidates are typical lying politicians whose words mean nothing. It's not about principle for them. It's about saying whatever it takes to get elected then continuing the looting.
"Government officials get away with deceit the private sector doesn’t tolerate" Tell me about it.
Do you think these guys have an agenda?
Because the ruling class only gives us a choice between the two greatest crooks in the country, voting is self-destructive. This is 99 percent true in the US. But at least in the US, there is almost always a choice to vote for freedom. The Libertarian Party offers that choice in every election. Ron Paul offers that choice in the Republican primaries.
MEDIA:
This what the mainstream media does:
"The real winner from Monday night’s GOP debate …. CNN. Why? Because it all but ignore areas in which PrezBo is vulnerable and instead focused on the social wedge issues that create the kind of soundbites only helpful to the Left."It protects its faction.
Questions like this from Boortz are blatantly attempts to prop up the divide and conquer two system.
"Who is more to blame for the nation’s current economic problems – Obama or Bush?"That's like asking who was more to blame for killing people, Mao or Stalin. Who cares? The communist system empowers mass murders to kill. Our government is designed to loot the American people on a scale the world has never seen, and it doesn't matter which crook in charge, it succeeds.
Bill Maher supports Ron Paul as if he matters and would support Paul against Obama.
LOCAL:
Kasich gets one right.
"Legislation allowing concealed-carry permit holders to take their guns into bars and restaurants serving alcohol is headed to Gov. John Kasich for his signature after winning final legislative approval Wednesday."As if free people need Kasich's permission to carry. But stuff like this just pisses me off.
"The bill permits bar and restaurant owners to prohibit weapons by posting signs."Like government can do otherwise. If I don't want you carrying a gun in my house, then you can't. Government has no say in it. Same with any other private property.
MISC:
The case against IP. Prediction that Creative Commons licensing will make copyright obsolete.
It's unfortunate free people in a free market will never be allowed to wipe out this phony meat made from feces. Only government would enable such an abomination to exist, and thanks to government, I expect that business to grow.
Congrats to the Bruins. Those Canadians thought they'd pull it off. Wrong.
Standard Operating Procedure for the Government and State run media. BLAME THE PARENTS! How better to indoctrinate the youth and turn parents/families against one another.
