Free kibbles

TAX AND SPEND:

Boehner caves on spending cuts. This weasel couldn't even hold the line on a paltry $61 billion in cuts from a $4 trillion budget. No surprise here. We knew Boehner couldn't be trusted. We knew Republicans weren't serious about cutting spending. We got exactly the deal we deserve for voting for the same two ruling class factions.

Cartoon illustrates how meaningless the cuts proposed by both sides are.

California state government expands program of seizing and selling property from safety deposit boxes.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Since the climate frauds have been unable to convince enough people of their scam, they're now attacking skeptics through legal action. This is going to backfire.

Even though solar cycle 24 has recently come alive, NASA now predicts it will be have the lowest sunspot peak of any cycle in 200 years.

Anti-nuclear power advocate suddenly realizes the anti-nuke crowd has been lying about the dangers of nuclear power for decades.

WAR ON DRUGS:

Apparently Mexicans protested in mass against the war on drugs that is killing so many Mexicans, but US news outlets didn't bother to cover the story.

WAR:

Republicans and Democrats unite to give the president unlimited power to make war.
"Senators Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) and Mike Lee (R-Utah) have done what no Republican has done since the day Harry Truman sent US troops to Korea without congressional authorization: challenged the authority of the President to unilaterally commit the nation to war. Their resolution read as follows"The President does not have the power to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve an actual or imminent threat to the nation."
This “sense of the Senate” resolution was voted down, 90-10, by the Democratic-controlled body, with not one Democrat voting for it. Which seems distinctly odd, because when President Barack Hussein Obama – a candidate for the White House at the time – uttered those very same words, his ostensibly “antiwar” fans cheered uproariously. Today, there are no cheers – just jeers from the Democrats, and, of course, from the neocons."
I'd say it's funny that they used Obama's own words, but there's nothing funny about this.

FOREIGN POLICY:

Egyptian army attacks protesters not happy with just changing the government's drapes.

MISC:

The government is evacuating 200,000 military personnel from Japan to the west coast. Maybe the Japanese government will demand this be permanent.
