Free kibbles

SOCIALISM:

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac request and additional $3.3 billion bailout. We did this to ourselves. We're the stupidest people on the planet.

ECONOMY:

Some businesses claim they can't find qualified workers. I guess if you set the qualifications too high, that'll happen in any economy.

Here's the reality of Keynesian policy:
"Japan has tried every stimulus trick in the book — in addition to holding rates at zero — and still its economy has been in a funk for two decades. But firing a worker in Japan is virtually forbidden and don't get the idea that consumer prices have fallen through the floor. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), last year saw the biggest drop in consumer prices at 1.13%, after prices rose 1.4% the year before. The chart of Japan's inflation rate is essentially flat. Not exactly the deadly deflationary spiral it's made out to be."
Two lost decades, but things won't be that good for us unless we take our power back from government. Japan has been buoyed by Chinese growth, to a lesser extent US growth, and to an even lesser extent, European growth over those two decades. But nobody can lift up the US economy.

TAX AND SPEND:

The EU is pushing for direct taxation of citizens of member states including Britain. Don't do it! Your countries will lose all autonomy if you fall for this. The weaker economies will loot the stronger economies until all collapse.

In Washington state, it took 410 thousand stimulus dollars on average to create or save one job.

FEDERAL RESERVE:

Loose monetary policy leads to the creation of stupid businesses like this one. That's the malinvestment that must be liquidated in the bust.

EDUCATION:

The Sec. of Education says we have to educate our way to a better economy like we want to sit around for a generation waiting for better educated students to solve our economic problems. The aristocrat freaks are moronic, sound-byte machines.

HEALTH CARE:

Medicare actuary blasts Obamacare and issues most dire warning about Medicare ever, but Obama pretends it's good news.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

China's central planners to close 2,000 factories because they are energy inefficient. But are they profitable? The central planners probably don't know, so they can't make an intelligent decision.

New study off past 500 million years of climate shows no relationship between CO2 and temperature. In the past, CO2 was significantly higher while temperatures were relatively similar.

POLICE STATE:

Cops investigated for faking mental illness to get disability benefits even while they were carrying guns. And you thought the police were the good guys. The sooner conservatives get over that delusion, the better.

WAR:

I don't trust the UN, but it seems obvious to me that the civilian death toll in Afghanistan is soaring.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION:

Illegal immigrants aren't like people who sneak into basketball games without paying.

POLITICS:

Obama's four socialist pillars.

I don't know why people are concerned about Republicans not having an agenda. The Democrats had no agenda in 2006 and 2008 and won the presidency and huge majorities in both houses. When the party in power is as bad as the Republicans were, and Democrats are worse, it makes political sense just to be against them to get back in power and continue looting the people.

MISC:

This tiny article reports the swine flu pandemic is over. You don't say. Funny how the phony alarmism was a huge story but the lack of a pandemic is not.
