War

In response to Ukraine war, NATO expands its power by creating rapid response force. Can you imagine if NATO had rushed troops into Crimea? We'd be fighting a hot with Russia right now if we all hadn't already been killed in a nuclear war. Again, this is a silly idea. NATO knew its constituent powers were implementing a coup in Ukraine for months. It could have been prepared if it really wanted to be. We need to abolish NATO, not make it more powerful. No mention of ISIS in this story. Claim this force is specifically for eastern Europe.

Claim Ukrainian secessionists are winning.

Merkel wants Germany to kill more people in wars.

US warplanes team with Iranian-backed militias in Iraq. Notice this report comes from India. Here it is from Dallas.

In a retread of propaganda, the US claims a laptop captured from ISIS contains plans for biological weapons.
"Speaking of America’s Good Jihadists, a.k.a. the Syrian Free Army, I was struck by this nugget from an account of the killing of Douglas McAuthur McCain, an American fighting for ISIS in Syria, in the New York Times:
"The rebels who killed him were fighting for the Free Syrian Army, a rival group backed by the United States, and they went on to behead six ISIS fighters – but not Mr. McCain – and then posted the photographs on Facebook."
Yes, these are the "moderate" Syrian rebels, backed by your tax dollars and the prestige of the United States government. Oh, but don’t worry, kids: they’re our barbarians – so beheading is okay, even praiseworthy, since they’re doing it on behalf of spreading "freedom" and "democracy.""
Nice.
"The War Party has sunk to a new low: they’re stealing from Hollywood! If this isn’t outright plagiarism of the plot of "Wag the Dog," then it’s damned close. If I were the producers of that movie, I’d sue – but that’s just me."
That would be awesome.

Militias control Tripoli. Libyan rebels swim in US embassy pool.

Kazakhstan dismantled the nuclear arsenal it inherited from the Soviets.
"One of the first decrees of President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, upon the country gaining independence in 1991, was the historic decision to close, on Aug. 29 the same year, the Semipalatinsk Nuclear test site, the second largest in the world.
Kazakhstan also voluntarily gave up the world’s fourth largest nuclear arsenal, with more than 110 ballistic missiles and 1,200 nuclear warheads with the capacity to reach any point on this earth."
That's amazing.

Obama and Cameron urge freeloading NATO countries to increase military spending. We should end this welfare program, not expand it.

The movement to declassify the 28 pages of the 9/11 investigation report grows.

Obama attacks Somalia without a declaration of war.
"Al Shabaab is an Islamist group affiliated with al Qaeda that wants to impose its own strict version of Islam in Somalia. It ruled most of the southern region of Somalia from 2006 until 2011, when African peacekeeping troops marched into the capital, Mogadishu."
Affiitated with al Qaeda supposedly makes it legal. That authorization for force needs to end.

Pentagon opens drone base in Niger. We've set the whole Middle East on fire, so why not Africa too?

How Churchill used the Lusitania to bait America into WWI.
"Churchill visited the ship in dry dock and referred to Lusitania as “just another 45,000 tons of live bait.”"
"Churchill, seeing an opportunity to bring America into Britain’s war, wrote the Board of Trade: “It is most important to attract neutral shipping to our shores, in the hope especially of embroiling the United States with Germany. … We want the traffic – the more the better – and if some of it gets into trouble, the better still.”"
"Future Secretary of State Robert Lansing knew that British passenger ships carried war materiel. German diplomats in New York warned American passengers they were in danger on the Lusitania. And instead of sailing north of Ireland to Liverpool, the Lusitania sailed to the south, into waters known to be the hunting ground of German submarines.
Lusitania blew up and sank in 18 minutes. Munitions may have caused the secondary explosion when the torpedo hit. Some 1,200 people perished, including 128 Americans. America was on fire, ready for war when the next incidents occurred, as they would in 1917 with the sinking of U.S. merchant ships in similar waters."
Evil.
