The US likes to use humanitarian reasons as an excuse to kill people, and the revolution it has funded in Syria has killed 60,000 people so far.

"More than 60,000 people have died in the Syrian uprising and civil war, the United Nations said on Wednesday, dramatically raising the death toll in a struggle that shows no sign of ending."

This sounds like preparation for a US and NATO no fly zone at least.
