Right to Keep and Bear Arms

In typical government fashion, the New York assembly expects to hold a vote on gun control late at night in the dark when nobody will notice. This illustrates that the state, an evil institution, always needs to conceal its activities because most people would not accept them.

It sounds like Obama is retreating on the assault weapons ban, but I'm still suspicious on his other initiatives which the NRA has not rejected. Obama has a history of co-opting his foes and using them them to advance his agenda. I wouldn't be surprised to see him co-opt the NRA for the purpose of registering or otherwise controlling firearms. I have no confidence in Wayne LaPierre.
