ECONOMY:

The Texas model of small government versus the California model of big government favored by everybody in the federal government.

"Between August 2009 and August 2010, the nation created a net of 214,000 jobs. Texas created more than half of them, 119,000. California lost 112,000 jobs during that same period."

It's not any harder to understand than that.

You wonder about the lawlessness and irresponsibility in the housing market?

"Look, this is what happens when you sit idly by and countenance rampant and outrageous lawbreaking: The people decide they'll do it too!"

By 'you', the author means government. But the government doesn't just countenance rampant lawbreaking. The government leads the way. It all begins with steal our money at the point of a gun with taxes and regulation. It goes further when the government breaks every law it passes whenever it's convenient.

Japan's lost decades are Bernanke's model for America. No thanks. But it wouldn't work out that way for us anyway because nobody can prop up a collapsing American economy the way America propped the collapsing Japanese economy.

TAX AND SPEND:

More than 200 Democrats have signed a pledge to protect Social Security from interference. This is a political stunt. Social Security will change either why choice or by the collapse of our government. It's smarter to change it by choice so seniors can continue to get the checks they were promised even though the aristocrats have stolen that money from them twice, and take away the aristocrats' power to steal the money from younger Americans.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

The EPA has always been anti-prosperity. That's all it can be. That's all government can be.

Penn State professors whitewash investigation of Michael Mann.

"But at that point, things take an astounding turn. Here is the very next event in the chronology, as described in the very next paragraphs of the Report.

On January 15, 2010, and on behalf of the inquiry committee, Dr. Foley conveyed via email an additional request of Dr. Mann, who was asked to produce all emails related to the fourth IPCC report (“AR4”), the same emails that Dr. Phil Jones had suggested that he delete.

On January 18, 2010, Dr. Mann provided a zip-archive of these emails and an explanation of their content. In addition, Dr. Mann provided a ten page supplemental written response to the matters discussed during his interview.

They asked him to provide them emails? They asked him to assemble and send them the evidence against himself?

He works for Penn State. The ownership of the emails is theirs. They are investigating him. The very, very first thing that is done in an investigation of this sort is to do an email dump of the subject of the investigation. Then the investigators go through to see what they can find.

THEY ASKED MANN TO ASSEMBLE THE EMAIL EVIDENCE AGAINST HIMSELF!!! I know I’m shouting and that’s impolite, but it needs to be shouted. If any one thing about this Inquiry characterizes the bumbling incompetence of the Inquirers, surely it is that single fact — that they let him pick and choose the evidence to be used against him. I mean, you could stop right there and go home knowing all you need to know about the quality and impartiality of the Inquiry."

Then the hard-hitting investigation gets really dirty:

"All were impressed by Dr. Mann’s composure and his forthright responses to all of the queries that were asked of him."

Every Penn State alum should hang his head in shame. The frauds own Penn State, bought and paid for with our tax dollars.

WAR:

US officials unhappy about British defense cuts. But they aren't defense cuts. They're offense cuts. Nobody is attacking Britain and nobody is going to just like nobody is attacking the US and nobody is going to. The US is unhappy because British forces fighting next to Americans gave our wars the appearance of international legitimacy. Now that's in jeopardy.
