Free kibbles

FREEDOM OF SPEECH:

US government shuts down site with 73,000 blogs. Many of us have been warning that the government wanted to take over the internet to stifle free speech, and now that day is here. This is internet censorship under the guise of protecting property rights.

TAX AND SPEND:

The motivation for government to inflate the housing market is property taxes.

EDUCATION:

A guy on Foxnews Wall Street Journal Report said that an argument could be made that the money teachers unions use to lobby government is recycled tax dollars. Of course it is. All the money special interests use to lobby government is recycled money taken from the people at the point of gun. Special interests lobby government, and government uses its gun to loot the American people, either through taxes or regulations, and funnels that looted money, tremendously more than the special interests paid to lobby, to the special interests. The special interests then use a portion of that looted money to increase their lobbying, and government increases the amount of money looted from the people and funneled to them. It's a never-ending spiral of looted money being used against the American people.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Another example of the global warming fraud in the press.

The cap on the oil well still shows no signs of leaking.

LOCAL:

UD campus is nearly twice as big as it was 10 years ago.

MISC:

Engels sure got this right:
"Society had created its own organs to look after its common interests…. But these organs, at whose head was the state power, had in the course of time, in pursuance of their own special interests, transformed themselves from the servants of society into the masters of society…. Nowhere do "politicians" form a more separate and powerful section of the nation than precisely in North America [i.e., the United States]. There, each of the two major parties which alternately succeed each other in power is itself in turn controlled by people who make a business of politics…. It is in America that we see best how there takes place this process of the state power making itself independent in relation to society … we find two great gangs of political speculators, who alternately take possession of the state power and exploit it by the most corrupt means and for the most corrupt ends — the nation is powerless against these two great cartels of politicians who are ostensibly its servants, but in reality dominate and plunder it."
That's a fantastic description of our political system.
