Free kibbles

FASCISM:

Corrupt Chris Dodd plans to strip the Fed and FDIC of bank supervision and give it to a new, unaccountable bureaucracy. Congress loves unaccountable central planning bureaucracies. I'm sure he plans to have his wife appointed to run it.

HEALTH CARE:

House Democrats want a vote on Saturday, but they're having trouble convincing Democrats to vote for their oppression. Now's the time to write and call your congressman and kill this bill. If you know some Democrat congressmen on the fence, call and write them too.

AARP made official what we already knew - it supports the House health care oppression plan. It was funny listening to their representatives try and claim they didn't support it back in August when it was obvious they were pushing people to support it. I hope they lose a few million members over this. The AMA jumped on the bandwagon too. Unfortunately doctors don't have a real competitor. Hopefully somebody will start one.

GLOBAL WARMING:

It seems to me that the most important piece of info in this story is that Republicans boycotted a committee vote on tax and trade, but the story hardly mentions it. With Lindsay Graham on board, you can bet the Senate will pass tax and trade. You gotta love those Republicans for their commitment to limited government. Or not.

MISC:

This is government in action. The single control computer for all Montgomery County, Maryland traffic lights, dating from the 70s, crashed and brought about gridlock. And people think government can build and maintain roads better than the private sector. What a joke.
