After ISIS immolates Jordanian pilot, UAE stops air attacks saying US fighters can take care of it. As outrageous as this seems, this is perfectly rational given the US policy of aggression and war against everybody. Why should anybody else bother to fight and die when the US is better at it than anybody?

Given Jordan's past support for Syrian radicals, it's surprising ISIS immolated a pilot of theirs unless it was for show to prompt as US ground invasion.
