The insufferable Brian Williams forced to
recant lie about being aboard a helicopter forced down in Iraq in 2003.
"“Because I have no desire to fictionalize my experience … and no need to
dramatize events as they actually happened, I think the constant
viewing of the video showing us inspecting the impact area – and the fog
of memory over the years – made me conflate the two,” Williams wrote."
I hope there's a special place in hell for these psychopaths.
"“I would not have chosen to make this mistake,” Williams said. “I don’t
know what screwed up in my mind that caused me to conflate one aircraft
with another.”"
He believes people will buy his lies, that he confused not getting shot down with getting shot down, and he might be right. Lying about
getting shot at by a sniper in Serbia worked for Hillary Clinton. He
feels terrible about getting caught.
