Politics

Putting the Republican wave election in perspective.
"Nov. 4 was a national vote of no confidence in Barack Obama.
Had a British prime minister received a vote like this, he would have resigned by now."
Like that will ever happen here.
"Yet, though this was a referendum on Obama and his policies, and though both were repudiated, some pundits are claiming that America voted for an “end to gridlock” and a new era of compromise and conciliation."
If voters wanted Congress to work with Obama, they would have voted for Democrats.

Biden and Obama disagree on amnesty because Biden wants to have a career after Obama leaves office. Obama doesn't care what happens to Democrats any more.

After such thorough repudiation, here's the new meme being pushed by Obama's propagandists.
"Just days after his party was routed in the midterm elections, President Obama said that he and his White House team had not succeeded in effectively selling the benefits of his policies to the American people, calling it a “failure of politics” that he must change in the final two years of his presidency."
"“It’s not enough just to build a better mousetrap,” Mr. Obama said in an interview that was taped Friday at the White House and broadcast Sunday on the 60th anniversary of CBS’s “Face the Nation” program. “People don’t automatically come beating to your door. We’ve got to sell it. We’ve got to reach out to the other side and, where possible, persuade.”"
Not a failure of policy. His policies are better. He just didn't work hard enough with Republicans, so that's what he's going to do now, and if they don't work with him, it's their fault. Typical crock.

Venice continues to march toward secession.

80 percent of Catalans vote for independence.
